When Nothing Catastrophic Occurs in 2012

Of course, every year has it's share of tragedies and wars which will be pointed out by the apologists for 2012, but basically what will happen is: *drumroll please* nothing out of the ordinary.

2012 will be forgotten along with Pyramid Power of the '70s, the Harmonic Convergence of the '80s and Nostradamus end of the world in the '90s. Most posters here will have gotten a life, grown up and moved on, while a fresh crop of bright-eyed dreamers will show up here espousing the latest nonsensical fantasy.

A former believer will take Swami's place as the "resident debunker" and rolling his eyes, he will tell the non-listening young-uns about the 2012 hoopla. This ancient history will hold no interest to the forward looking youth, eager for the next magic act and they will decry the former-believer as being close-minded for not buying into the "Prediction of the Month".

And people will still question everything... and the whole cycle will be lost in a sea of repition, as life will take its swings at any passer by. Of which that person will come up with a infinite number of different ways of reacting... and posting them on bulletin boards to be infused in the embodiment of "esoterica", which will then be enjoyed, while red eyes reflect the subtle cherry of a lit joint, and the thin stream of casual smoke.  :spliff:

not everyone who believes that 2012 will be a significant year is predicting disaster. 

I dont know what is going to happen to YOU in 2012, but I have a feeling that I know what will happen to ME. 

and if nothing happens, well, that's what the cyanide Kool-Aid is for :lol:

but seriously, I think 2012 will be a year that brings a new way of life, thought, and human expression.  I also think that about 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 as well!

On the corner at the end of the block (not visible in the photo), there was a man selling "Harmonic Convergence" buttons for $2 a piece. I heard that if one rubs this button on their throat at the stroke of midnight... they can talk to the Rock Spirits.

it's already happened, to many of us
all it is is that people will know themselves
nothing will actually happen
discoveries will move on apace, transformations wilkl occur
Butthe story will go on.

Maybe some great big thing will stick out of the eschatalon and intrude on life - physically

I always fancied some mad-shit like that happening.

It's most likely we'll finally hit mars or sometin. That will change humanity's entire dynamic, yet in everyday life things will feel and seem the same. Experience will be expeience.

if time does not exist, then 2012 is simply an illusion, and when ever the world ends it will be 2012 and whatever date you can simitaniously combine all at once. Therefore metapysically you will owe me 10,000$ when the world ends , but we will be dead so just pay me in karma.
