2012 isn't really "the end," as most people are thinking of it. Even the Mayan elders are saying that's it not the end, it will just be a time of great change and transition from the age of materialism to a more enlightened age, with maybe some interesting fireworks going off to help it  :cool:

Terence McKenna developed the 2012 enddate from the I Ching rather than the Mayan prophecies so I hear? Even the Revised version (he had a mathematical error that wasn't that apparent in the recent past but after millions and billions of years it started to make a difference, as Chaos Theory would state,) is the same, so perhaps there's more to the December 21st Winter Solstice than the other crackpot theories. The Mayans have been right before

ped: America's presence in Israel greatly disrupts the balance of powere in that region. The further east American control penetrates, the more threatened large nations such as Russia, China, and Japan will feel as the United States draws closer and closer to the resources upon which those nations are dependent.

Ped: If anyone with half a mind would take the time to pick up a copy of the I Ching and listen to what a daoist I Ching master with an authentic lineage has to say, you'd find that the I Ching has nothing to do with calendar dates at all. Next if this theoretical half-witted human were to pick up a copy of the invisible landscape and read it with 1/16 of his critical thinking faculties powered (If you have a full brain functioning that's only 1/32 of your full critical-thinking ability in use) you might scratch your head when mckenna takes the dateless novelty graph and chooses with "intuition" where to insert the end date.

You do know that, right? That the I Ching has nothing to do with dates at all? Right? Like all you people who think Terence was on to something, you realize that he CHOSE where to put the end date, right? There is no date in the hexagram graph, he CHOSE where to line the graph up on our calendar, he CHOSE the end date. You all realize this, right? Good, now go home

Ped, open up TWZERO and take a look at this. It looks as if we're about to descend into highly novel few weeks set to peak around the 20th of september. If I'm looking at this correctly this is the MOST novel period we will experience until early 2009.

Just wondering what you're thoughts are on this.

My personal prophecy is, that in 2006 something significant will 'happen', after that there will be no doubt for everybody that big changes will follow and there is no turning back. What exactly, I can't forsee, but it surely has something to do with environment, politics and spirituality.
After 2006 the time of the 'falling' will take place for the nonbeliefers. And changes will follow relatively fast.

If 'that' won't occur, everything will slowly get worse and worse more gradually what could end in a very very bad and long period of time.

Er, so for me, c and b fits it most.

Doesn't sound too dissimilar to some of the stuff at the traveller from the future's site: www.johntitor.com, although your dates don't quite match up. A very interesting read for you conspiracy theorists out there, or somewhat entertaining fiction otherwise...

Yeah...i'm talking about the Timewave Zero software. It allows you to "explore" McKenna's novelty wave. For instance you can type in "6th August 1945" and see if the wave corresponds to the events that took place.

It's fun to mess around with, I'm sure you can still download it somewhere. Do a google search for "Timewave zero software".

I looked but I couldn't find the software, just stupid links to other links to articles to links to a guy saying how it doesn't work and is totally without any scientific basis and isn't worth trying to get and understand in the first place.

Go here and look near the bottom for the Timewave Zero section. You can download it there. The software is made for DOS only though and hasn't been updated to windows or java platform yet. That's a shame because the DOS program is so fucking annoying and hard to use.

I tried downloading that before. When I go to unzip it it says now you have to install a screen saver and gives me three choices and none of them are timewave zero. I'm fed up with it and it's probably just a bunch of crap anyway.
