"This is the way the world ends; not with a bang, but a whimper."
-------------------- So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Indeed. But somehow on the inside, which is quite alright. Hopefully we can pull that together to avoid catastrophe.

In your perspective then, wouldn't that place you on the 'side' you don't want to be on?

You'd change your tune if you were wandering around the rubble covered with third degree burns. In Hiroshima, all they could come up with was cooking oil for the multitudes to help keep the air off the burns. Wishing that on yourself and others shouldn't really get the dander up on normal healthy folk. BTW, mental illness is pitiable, not impressive, so why not cease trying to appear that way? Real paranoids don't usually deliver their delusions with a bragging intent to shock others. They are usually rather reluctant to share, unless they belong to some 'brotherhood' of like paranoids.

I think it would put me on the side of only being able to control what I do. I am not an activist or someone who likes to go lay in front of tanks. I am not perfect. And I have been to Hiroshima I saw the museum where they took a chunk of a brick wall and put it behind glass to show they ashes of someone burned into the wall. Its Crazy.

I've indulged in the same fantasy from time to time. The way I think about it I would find more meaning in my life when I'm fighting for my own survival rather than existing in stasis and filling my life with entertainment to pass the time. It brings to mind that fight club quote:
"We're the middle children of history.... no purpose or place. We have no Great War, no Great Depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives."

Chimps do this. It's up to us to evolve past mindlessly acting on aggression. Peace is not the absence of conflict, it is addressing conflict without violence.

When your done fighting that war, you'll find something else to be mad about. Hell, if monkeys had brains, they would probably be fighting over land containing the yummiest banana trees.
It's all in your head.
Actually, some gorillas do fight against other "clans". Ever seen Planet Earth? Watch the jungle episode. After they fight, they engage in cannibalism, but there's no known reason for that.

Don't be so sure you'll be one of the survivors.
