This is a common argument.  It might even be true.  Of course we won't know unless Agribusiness starts paying at least minimum wage for the jobs that they hire migrants to do.  One thing is sure, americans are not going to pick berries for less than minimum wage.  The other problem with this, is that it assumes that migrants are too stupid to realize that they can walk across the road to Mickey D's and get a raise.  I assure you, they are not.

I wonder why?  Because they refuse to do hard shitty work for super low wages, guess what fixes that issue?  The employer pays a wage to attract a US worker, it's really not that complicated. 

If you're trying to suggest that if the US doesn't import illegal labor for the agricultural industry the food supply is going to dry up, try again.

Rohingya are fleeing pogroms in Burma, where they are viewed as foreigners even though those communities have been there for several hundred years already.  Of course, that doesn't mean Thailand has to like it

The Buddhists can be as toxic as any other religious group. When I lived in Thailand the conversation of any Muslim minority such as the Rohingya always made for a good time. Now I LOL when people tell me white people are racist. After that experience, to me, it's no shocker Indonesia and Malaysia let them dock before Thailand.

In those countries they literally WILL work for nothing.

are demanding they be allowed to establish their own laws and basically be
sovereigns within the nations, while demanding the same rights of being citizens
of those countries they're immigrating to

Lol. They aren't stealing jobs. They are participating in the economy, and making it larger. Turns out when you crack down on illegals, the local economy usually suffers. It's kinda stupid to target productive members of a community.


They are not making the economy larger and they are taking jobs from Americans and depressing wages.  How about they be productive members of the community in the fucking countries they abandoned

Not true in my case, the only thing that keeps me competitive is my reputation for quality, and in a previous comment in this thread I outlined how illegal immigrants who pretended to be legal fucked me over big time when I hired them as subcontractors, and I had to replace the entire job out of my own time and money and even had to cover their fines for not following proper safety guidelines. I was disgraced to have my name attached to that job, and I payed big time to correct all of it by having to pay for all new material, the tear off, and the labor to make and replace it all.

I take pride in the quality I produce, and it's the only thing that keeps my company relevant, in some ways the piss poor quality helps me out because people end up switching to me hoping I'll do better, but it's still very hard to compete and be competitive when I'm paying my employees a proper wage when other people pay cash to illegals and can bid with a lower number because of it.

My highest paid employee is a mexican who had a green card and just recently became a citizen, and even he gets effected because of illegals.

I don't have the answer to the problems, and my opinions might be wrong, but it still effects me and a lot of people I talk to on a daily basis who are struggling to compete.

I don't like conducting background checks to hire people but I will say skimming out the illegals is one good thing about it. As soon as they find out they have to get their fingerprints taken, they are out the door with their fake SS cards and birth certificates. ICE came after one guy who decided he'd still try taking a government background check for my company - he ended up with 2 felonies, forgery and identity theft. I'm sure they dismissed the case and deported him though.

In a county by my work, illegals are basically the whole population, a few of the cops that work there I've done work for, the ones they arrest, almost NEVER make it to court, they post bail and disappear most of the time. It got to the point that in this specific county, they stopped arresting them (and I've heard stories they just beat the shit out of them and leave them somewhere but can't prove it), because nothing ever comes of it.
