I don't sell them myself, but I know someone who uses this website.
http://www.agmrc.org/commodities__products/
Idk how accurate it is, but they monitor agriculture prices like the stock exchange

yeah i want to make farm robotics. i wrote a webcam turret for dod with a friend of mine a few years back (shot paintballs at humans, wouldnt shoot children or animals)... used 2 webcams to identify targets (with ai kind of) and focus on center mass of movement... was an engineering final for my friend sponsored by the government. he didnt have to write the code so he nagged me into it.
anyhow, i kind of want to do the same double webcam approach and just have it harvest crops instead of shoot people
i feel like i could make an algorithm to let it decide ripeness, and it could pick all day and night, could even box them up for me.
i dont really want to put mexicans out of jobs, i just think it would be a fun project

With corn and soybean prices both lowering, and soybeans able to yield more per acre, at the moment for me it was a no brainer to plant soybeans this year.

Why the FUCK didn't you program it to do a 180 and shoot him in the dick in front of the whole class?
You're much too nice of a friend rxb...
"I programmed it not to shoot the person wearing this belt buckle, you gotta wear it and make it visible."
In reality you programmed it to shoot a few inches below the buckle, right in the family jewels.

The fact is, they are a necessary labor resource. As it stands now, this country food supply depends on a reliable undocumented labor force. Crackdowns have demonstrated that American agriculture would be crippled without them.
This is a common argument. It might even be true. Of course we won't know unless Agribusiness starts paying at least minimum wage for the jobs that they hire migrants to do. One thing is sure, americans are not going to pick berries for less than minimum wage. The other problem with this, is that it assumes that migrants are too stupid to realize that they can walk across the road to Mickey D's and get a raise. I assure you, they are not.
Dude we get it you hate wetbacks and alot might be stupid but so are you ... To work at that shit place mcdonalds you need papers the illegals cannot get a raise. No mericans will work in agriculture for minumun wage are you mad?
I do not hate "wetbacks" and my whole point is that they are certainly not stupid. I think that immigrants, illegal or otherwise, are hungry to succeed here, just like i am. That puts them in direct competition with me for jobs, housing, etc. I don't own a Roto Rooter franchise or something, i'm just joe blow worker bee. Like i said before, if it was okies coming to california, and depressing my wage, i would be in competition with them instead. it has absolutely nothing to do with race.

Enjoywho said: The crab processing plant that I work at now just got cracked down on hard. Something like 150 illegals were working there under the same ssn. Why they pretty much hired anyone.
All I did to get the job was walk in and say I need a job. Orientations at 8. OK cool sounds good. No application, interview, nothin.
INS hit a poultry plant in alabama, nearly all the workers were fired and the fine was only $10k, they put an ad in the paper and offered a better wage and they had a huge influx of applicants

naaaaah you dont get it, his hate is justified and its not racism, or stupidity, or unfairness, its logic. because some other nutjob told him so while drinking a beer. and that makes it real pedro! that makes it REAL!
*DISCLAIMER* I was unable to type that without laughing.

i dont even drink beer! I don't think that i am very much as you seem to imagine me at all.
P.S. Her's some examples of actual racism

Your robot wont need to decide ripeness. Most fruit is made uniformly ripe at harvest (for this very reason) by application of ethylene gas and/or abscisic acid. not bananas though.
