I agree with the fact that ego on its own is not the problem. Really, you can't be egoless in your normal state (unless it is induced). I do think however that an uncontrolled ego can be a problem, the ego is a neutral force within our minds and if untamed it can spiral and take over the actions of the person. If the ego is controlled and humbled then it can be a powerful tool of personal development. I think that the ego is like a jungle that covers perception and may skew it, but if you keep it trimmed and neat (don't feed into it too much) you will have its benefits at your disposal.

well I want to allow natural participation in government by all who want to be involved.
I don't mean this trivially, I have been involved in government, and enforced Roberts Rules of Order (which is a good thing) and I have collected minutes, organized meetings, and run audits.
Many of these things can be automated.

Before being involved in government, I had no idea how things were done, or why, and there was no easy way to discover except to get to meetings - which is not that hard, but not convenient.

Most of the lack of involvement in government is because it is inconvenient or uninteresting.

I think that the inconvenience can be removed by using teleconferencing and asynchronous teleconferencing with modernized rules of access and modern equivalents of rules of order.

At this point in time, much of government is already digital, so lifting this process into the web would not be a terrible thing on the output side, as regards getting the results of meetings of interested parties with positions of power to the agencies that need the decisions. This part of change would be embraced easily.

What would be new would be the power management, and exposure of the process to a wider audience who would be able to participate in discussion, and decision-making as well as shift roles, and that relates to election, worthiness, and appropriateness.

To introduce this Google, Yahoo, or Facebook or some spawn of these massively responsive user connection systems, could begin with City Wards and the civic politics process. Then they could work up to State/Provincial government, and finally Federal Government Access Feeds.

The system should offer a good standard of transparency and an appropriate degree of privacy and security as required.

There are two sets of books in many government entities.  Google CAFR (Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports).

The first set of books is for public consumption and leaves out many assets but shows the debts and budget deficits that require new or continuing taxes.

The CAFR reports that few see accurately state how much money and assets the various entities actually have.  This is usually major surpluses, but how can the public continue to be taxed if they knew just how much $$ the governments owned.

Fortunately, people who work at City Hall for the most part don't know about the thieving going on, or the entire system would in fact collapse.  Or not, people are idiots and love living in the status quo.

He'll return hopefully.  I find zzripz to be one of the more interesting posters here.  I'm often in agreement with the basic thrust of his posts and I think the shit he's talking about needs to be considered at a much deeper level than most people ever will.  That however does not mean I agree with everything he goes on about or some of the evidence he uses to back up his beliefs. Still overall I think he's a very valuable poster here. :satansmoking:

I think that zzripz didn't make the posts that got him banned, but rather the illuminati hacked his account so that we wouldn't notice him missing. Right now I bet he's in an submarine where they are retrofitting his anus with a mind control device. :satansmoking:

Everything is better than it was the last time.  I'm good.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.
