Do you really get a better understanding of something by believing it is true?

When I read these things, I try to take them seriously. Some I can, there are times when I've been provided with some well done research on a paranormal topic. Most of the time, I can see that they're using flawed logic, and jumping to conclusions right off the bat. It's hard to take anything like that seriously.

I really don't see much about logic in it.. it isn't like he is trying to scientifically justify what he is saying... just making people think, trying to get across some new ideas...

I really don't think they are proposing something as being scientific here.. if it was like that, wouldn't it be scientific? You guys are trying to find this as some sort of replacement for science and what we know now.. it is simply trying to get across some ideas to make us think, make us start wondering if they are true or not, and then start figuring it out for ourselves.. I mean, come on..

i think its true in a sence, even if it is bull shit, because if u think about it when we "humans" first started out we had nothing but the skins on our backs now we have technology that would be impossible to imagine two hundred years ago..the human mind through time it seems is cabable of creating wutever it desires by using the resources around us. i think the whole ra thing is a jump 1000 yers beyond our comprehension or apliable comprehension. i dont believe in RA but i think that the things that they are saying could one day be true.
