If you think these insurgents are not well organized... the tactics they use may seem to be un coordinated but they  appear this way cause they know exactly what will happen if they ever form into a standing army with platoons and divisions, they would get wiped out. Hence the guerilla tactics cause the US army cant hit what they cant see.

No American rebellion will EVER succeed unless you can match that kind of devotion on top of being technologically sophisticated.

haha, the problem in the ME isn't their devotion, because thier fucking retarded.  The problem in the middle east is the U.S. militarys protocol on procedures and the Geneva convention.

Yeah, I know what caliber the AK-47 is chambered in. 7.62x39mm. .338 Lapua? 8.6x70mm. Do you know what the 47 denotes in AK-47? The year it was developed, 1947. Do you know where it was developed? The Soviet Union. The AKs the insurgency is using are third, fourth, and fifth-hand weapons from Russia. I never implied they were using muzzle-loaders.

No shit though man... the ak was designed to be POWERFUL and EASY to use. Why would an insurgency take the time to train troops in the use of an M1 when they can give them firing time in combat and the guys are WILLING to die.

Guns still fire bullets man.. antique or not. As long as it's rifled and high caliber it will blow people's head's off.

I never said the AK-47 wasn't an effective or timeless firearm. The point was to illustrate that they are much less equipped than their American adversaries. Many of their weapons are improvised for a reason.

This is why they tyrannical government of the US will never be over thrown by the people, They aint got the balls to do it.

Look at the civilians that join the insurgency there going up against the motherfuckin american army with ak's and improvised bombs, no body armor no tanks no air support to back them up, americans talk a lot of shit and may be down to fight with there fists but they aint shit when it comes to dying for something they believe in.

Oh nice, a CZ-75. One of my favorite handguns I've ever fired.

I had a chance to buy a used CZ-85B in .40, but I passed it up for a new Springfield XD Service .40.

I still want to get a CZ some day. Most likely a 75 and grab a Kadet slide so I can have a fun full sized handgun that can fire .22lr.

Ah horse doodoo.

I'd stand on the front lines and be all like

"Wassup brah! My homies are also in the Army, you gonna shoot me? We're both American's why don't you give your gun to the politicians and have a beer with us? You're gonna fire on one of your own who has just had enough?"

Don't say that American's would never revolt, I wouldn't do it now, life is real good for me at least I have nothing to kill over.  But when/if the time comes I think I'll know it's time to go hunting killing.

This is all hypothetical though like I said, I love this country for now because it's treated me right

The CZ-75 is an exceptional gun. I don't have the Kadet conversion kit, but I'm sure it would pay for itself after so long. The whole line seems to increase in price every couple of years, so the sooner you snag one, the better. They're also a rarity around here. I'm bored as hell with seeing guys come up with their Glocks and 1911's. The only other guy I've seen at my range with one had the same name as me, and dressed the same too. He was my doppelgänger.

I gotta agree though theres no reason at ALL to start a revolution right now, The cops intrusions on peoples rights is getting kinda ridiculous though and somethings gotta be done about that. and I know the video I posted inspired this thread of yours

Glad you googled it, You do realize the Ak-47 regardless of what "Hand" generation it was from is recognized around the world as an excellent military weapon for warfare?
Can you tell me why the AK-47 is still in existence even though being developed in 1947? Problly not.
BTW  my so called "Derailed" post  Was written while I was drunk :flipthebird: as I am now. You Trolled my OP to begin with loser. Also, You never really brought any intelligence to the table anyway. As you couldn't seem to focus on my point and spewed out a bunch of ignorant little kid shit.

It depends on the situation, though. Scientologists standing up in arms against the government would be kind of like Alcoholics Anonymous standing up against the government...

But under universal American tyranny, the major wild card would be the response of US soldiers at large when faced with the prospect of having to fire on US citizens, on US soil. That would definitely make things much more complex, and also level the playing field.

This. Very important way of looking at this topic.

It's really only still used because it was made BY THE MILLIONS, is cheap as fuck and relatively easy to keep running.

A fantastic firearm it is not. It's a textbook case in quantity over quality. And it's about as accurate as a fucking red ryder BB gun.

Plus, the AR/M-16 design is only 7-8 years younger than Kalashnikov's AK design, about the time the AK was widely accepted by the soviet army.
