Possibility of Enlightenment
    #10686418 -

Seeing as enlightenment can't be proven, only experienced

I'd like to flip it & ask for evidence against it?

What proof do you have against the possibility of enlightenment?

edit:

Lakey pointed out maybe i need to define enlightnement in my eyes for response to this post...

for me
enlightenment is Realizing the Infinite Self is the only Reality

Im only showing that proof works both ways

I see many ask for proof of the absolute

Yet they can provide no proof of themselves except a body that they identify with

For me, enlightenment is Realizing the Infinite is all that ever existed & that I Am That itself
Its not something you come to beleive, you can;t force your way into the Infinite
Its inescapably revealed as natural reality
The true nature of all things

"What proof do you have against the possibility of enlightenment?"

All that happens with enlightenment is that you end up back where you started, before private thoughts and self-identity took over and gave a "self-other" appearance.  So enlightenment doesn't exist as a "special" mindset, but rather the absence of other mindsets/beliefs.

Your birth certificate should suffice to debunk your definition of enlightenment.

Very Nice

Original Being, no additions, no subtractions

Although your post smells a little bit of 'its not very special' when really it is so unbeleivably ecstatic

"Although your post smells a little bit of 'its not very special' when really it is so unbeleivably ecstatic"

Special or not special (or any other word for that matter) are qualifiers that cannot be put on the experience I would call enlightenment.

Okay, i definately agree

Its qualityless

But some make out that its not really much at all, when really its the greatest, as its so undefinable, thats why i say infinity is not a concept, because concepts define things & the infinite is neither a thing nor definable, but it is the nature of the Self

Its totally possible to realize while in this body

Well, its at least the prima facie.

I will provide this evidence. You yourself. You claim enlightenment and your posts are evidence you are not. Not to mention all the other enlightened folk around her who melt down sooner or later.

But there would be no way for the unenlightened to tell if enlightenment exists. But after dealing with folk like you here for several years I go on faith.

Melt down  nice one

My posts aren't what the posts point to, so every word is a lie really
No word holds what im speaking about

What's with these crackpot ideas of enlightenment?

Enlightenment is the act of gaining spiritual or intellectual insight.

The definitions posted here thus far are debateable examples of enlightenment, at best.

I don't see how believing that one is infinity shows any sign of enlightenment.

I also don't see how the absence of certain mindsets or beliefs can be considered as a complete definition of enlightenment.

Your posts are a good reflection of who you are as they come from you.

What higher seeing could there be apart from you yourself, being the infinite pure unalloyed bliss?
Its not a beleif, you can only see it yourself, by seeing your Self
Beleiving it is to try & imagine it

For it to be True, it must be What Is
Being with no distractions

I could try to imagine that I was a flying spaghetti monster in a former life,

but that would hardly make me enlightened.

Thats my point, if you try & beleive it, its just make beleive, unreal

Im saying this infinite truth is Being, Self, Beyond any beleif

Get rid of every beleif, reject anything imaginary your mind can come up with & be COMPLETETLY naked as Being

In this place where all things are removed, what is left?
