Obviously, evolution poses evidence that is clearly contradictory to intelligent design's premises.

No, because any naturalistic evidence for evolution is regarded as part of the design. There is no evidence a biologist could muster up that a creationist could not reply with, "It was designed to work that way."

I see your point. I was assuming that evolution implies the Big Bang theory, which basically puts God out of a job.

Evolution says nothing about where the universe came from. Evolution is a theory in the discipline of biology, not cosmology.

Where do these people come from?

2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child.
3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

BTW, I did a little research, so let's be clear on something.

"Dr." Kent Hovind flings his title around in an Appeal to Authority, one of the classic fallacies. We're supposed to believe that, since he has a doctorate, his opinion should be lent weight.

As it turns out he's a liar. "DR." Kent has no degrees, NONE AT ALL, from any accredited university. "Dr." Kent's doctorate is from an internet diploma farm.

The bio on his web says he has taught "Biology, Anatomy, Physical Science, Mathematics, Earth Science, and many other sciences", which is another lie, unless "Dr." Kent means that he taught these things in Sunday school.

And if those two lies from the archetypal man of God are not enough, he's also thief in addition to a liar. "Dr." Kens is currently in prison for tax evasion.

So now I see how someone claiming an advanced education could possibly be so profoundly ignorant of what evolution is and how science in general works.

Hmmm. I believe all three of those answers coincide.

The universe was created by God -- itself. God always existed. The process by which God creates itself is known as evolution.

The creator is the created.

I couldn't agree more.

And from what did the created creator started to create?

Sounds like a vicious circle to me.

Evidence from biology:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irreducible_complexity

Irreducible complexity is a result of not understanding the time scales that evolution works on. It took over two billion years for evolution to go from single cells to multicellular organisms. Two billion years is a heck of a long time! I doubt it is really possible to grasp such a time scale.

Actually read the wiki article...it does a nice job of disproving irreducible complexity.

Don't know much about this, but upon closer inspection it looks to be much the same argument as irreducible complexity - that living organisms are too complex (specifically) to be explained as evolution. Again, I call attention to the time scales involved.

Evidence from cosmology:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fine-tuned_universe

Well this I can answer fairly easily. If the universe wasn't fine-tuned...we wouldn't be here to talk about it

I know that's rather silly, but it's true. The fact is that we can not know if there are other universes out there which aren't fine-tuned...and if there are, this universe is special only in that it can support life.

But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

Gimme a couple tons of shrooms, a few hundred chimps, and enough time, and I'll fuckin make you some Einsteins.

So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.
