Bird Flu and God's Will
    #5172973 -

I think we should do nothing to test for, stop the spread of, or treat the Bird Flu as it is the Will of God who lives and who dies.

I think the media is playing it up more than its worth. But it is something to consider. Its a race, who can wipe out the punny humans first, this planet, or themselves?

I would say it's more of a roll of the dice. But I get your point, Mr. Will of God.

Maybe it is god's will for us to cure it.

That seemingly argues the point that whatever happens is God's will. Then free will and sin seemingly have no place. There is no right and wrong.

it doesn't argue that point anymore than your original post does.

If A could be God's Will or

Not A could be God's Will

and we have no way of knowing which as we are not God

what is the point of declaring anything at all to be God's will?

Me too. It's all fear-mongering, which the media will do with anything they can (OMG! THE KILLER BEES ARE ON THEIR WAY! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!).

I also remember a scare called "SARS" and how many people actually died from it

Avian Flu is the unscariest disease out there.

I think we should spread it deliberately. If I get it I'll kiss you.

God has a will?
Like ours?
Like a finite being?

Damn, I must have missed the lecture that day. I'll have to get your notes.

I think you're preaching to the wrong crowd here, Swamster. We're not generally the ones that go around praising the LORD almighty, asking for donations and suggesting holy wars on those that look different than us. This place is more of the "I'm very wise because I believe in a bunch of Eastern philosophy / all-is-one kind of shit" people.

Try to tailor your enlightened trolling appropriately; it makes things a lot more interesting that way.  :smirk:

Happy thirteenth birthday, man, you're a teenager now! Its good to know that you're mature enough to be beyond Swami, eh? :smirk:

*will start declaring how I am above any of your posts as I am superior and you are immature and of a lesser intellect as it is effective discussion of ideas*

Peace. :mushroom2:
