Agreed. Anything that supports life is sacred and must not be wasted frivolously through disposal or over eating.

A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Oh no sucker, this discussion is just beginning. Everything is sacred here. One feeds the bod and one feeds the head. Sacred is just a word some people like to lable things that have a special subjective importance in there minds. One thing is no more "sacred" than another. you're just comparing apples and mushrooms

Apples are so inocent, they make everyone happy and nobody angry or afraid, kids like them, they make great pies and you can always eat them on the street in your hands

The same can mostly be said of shrooms or LSD. Cept the afraid part...

Almost non of the mentioned can be said about shrooms and LSD,
kids don't use them, you can't use them anywhere on street (you'll get arrested), they make some people mad and afraid and they don't work for everyone (some end up in personal hell)
Apples work for everyone, they are always good

"kids don't use them" I beg to differ. I was wild about acid when I was seventeen. Seventeen is "kid" age to me (40). You can use them on the street when the cops aren't around...hell most of the acid I ever bought was out on the street....and I did disqualify the pie aspect. A shroom pie would be quite nasty. A friend who was once into brewing beer made a shroom batch of ale. The shrooms (I produced them) were liquified and put into the brew just before charging the bottles. It was cloudy beer, but quite decent. You only needed three to five to get going good.

Mushrooms only make the clueless mad.
Mushrooms are empowering, apples are sustaining, sacred is a word that either applies to everything or nothing.

You can't go through the center of your town with an A4 sheet of acid, and by kids I mean actual kids (from those who have teeth to pre-teens)

Every anger is is like that, it is a result of our inability to adopt to something, so there is no difference between anger when someone hits you and when you get angry because somene is using acid

isnt what is "sacred" in the eyes of the beholder? Some Hindus hold cattle to be sacred animals. Here in the west, people put cattle into industrialized slaughter-houses full of torture and waste.
psychedelics are quite sacred to some even if they are not to others.

Definetly, I dont think there is such a thing as sacredness outside the mind of humans

"I dont think there is such a thing as sacredness outside the mind of humans" That doesn't make the meaning any less valid. Compassion does not exist outside the human mind ...does that mean it is not real?

Is there anything outside minds of humans at all? Sure there is all this stuff around us, but the way we see it , the way we even begin to experience it, even the process of experiencing, all the words, thoughts, categoriastion, communication, logic, orientation, taking specific points of view, existence, non-existence, all of it is in our minds, outside our minds everything is so much irrelevant and orderless that it might as well not exist, or we could say it does not exist at all, because the difference between existence and nonexistence is in our minds too, outside of consciousness there is nothing but eternal deep dark void, and all the matter playing games in it makes no difference
So in the end it is pointless to say what is in our minds and what isn't, because even that which we think that is outside of us is in fact in our minds, everything is, so we can consider everything objective or nothing, it makes no difference

In this thought experiment, let's put all shroomerites in prison without food and see if they first ask for an apple or a shroom.

How many shrooms versus one apple?
