shrooms...acid....seizures

Anyone have any UNBIAS information on reactions like that. I have seen a growing trend of trip reports that complain of seizures/blackouts from lsd and mushrooms, with no other drug interactions. Has anyone had any experience with this?

ive blacked out once or twice on shrooms.....for no longer than a few secconds though. i have no info as to why it would happen though.

I had a recent experience to where I had a feeling of my brain malfunctioning. It felt pretty shitty. Headache and nausea.

My freind had a seizure first time he did shrooms,but he does them all the time now more than most would consider sain,yet no more seizures,just mental retardation,ha ha.

i get seizures and im on meds for them (divalpoex sodium [brand name epival]

I've done pot, shrooms, acid, ghb, and coke and haven't had seizures with any of them.

blood pressure drop. Ive seen my friend black out at kingsisland on a hot day on mushrooms. It sucked.

Ive lost time on mushrooms where i dont remember an hour or so.

i think those few symptoms are more common than people realize...ive heard of alot of stories of people passing out on shrooms in the heat

I think its up for debate, never the less, psilocybin is a foriegn chemical and it will never not be just that. people will react differently and thier will always be risks involved.

Not meaning to have a go but alcohol, nicotine, caffeine and the vast majority of pharmaceutical drugs are foreign chemicals that people will react differently to. This is nothing new!

i think his point was that, in reference to passing out on shrooms he doesnt really know why it happens....just chalk it up to having a foreign chemical in your body....they seem to do different things to different people.

Not meaning to have a go but alcohol, nicotine, caffeine and the vast majority of pharmaceutical drugs are foreign chemicals that people will react differently to. This is nothing new!

Also, sugar, vitamins, etc... all foreign chemicals.

Passing out does not equal a seizure. Getting a headache and nausea does not equal a seizure. These are all things that can happen during a seizure, but they do not necessarily add up to being a seizure.

These drugs could also increase emotional reactions to things, which could increase the chances of making you pass out, or they might trick you into thinking you've got lots of energy, when in reality you haven't been eating much (or perhaps you've been fasting, as some people do before tripping), and you've got low blood sugar, which can make you light headed and increase your chances of passing out.

There are lots of reasons things can happen. Don't jump to conclusions.

I know three people who have had seizures from psychedelics (LSD and Shrooms).

My brother, when he was 14, tripped on cid for a week straight. On the last day he was tripping and smoked some weed and convulsed. Fucked him up real bad.

I had a fried who started selling field shrooms... A LOT! So he ate them... A LOT! twice he went into convulsions and after that he never tripped again. This could possibly be a case of deathcap poisoning, but no one really knows.

Another friend I had who was very experianced with acid tried a sugar cube and experianced the exact same thing my bro did where he was conscious but couldn't control his body. Later on it was supposedly said to be fake (dipped in no doze or some bullshit).

In two of these cases the person ate them way, WAY too often. And in all of these cases they were young (14-17). I myself have gone through phases where I tripped almost every weekend for six months on shrooms and never had anything like a seizure or convulsion or passed out. When I trip and smoke weed though I can't stand up or I get VERY light headed and would pass out if I didn't sit down right away.

If you consume shrooms responsibly you shouldn't run into problems like that, but everyone's brain is different and nothing can be guaranteed. Synthetic psychedelics on the other hand can be very unpredictable. I took 2C-I only four times and suffer severe HPPD/perma-visuals from it. My bro has the same from acid (but he did it a lot when he was just a growing boy).

The only advice I can give you is be cautious, be respectful, and don't make a habit of pushing your limits.

I have 'blacked out' hwile tripping, but this has generally been because I was tripping way too hard and just ended up not remembering. I have gone into grand mal seizures befroe while using nitrous, but I am already pre exposed to the possibilty of having a seizure.
