Perhaps I didn't word what I wanted to say very well.

I believe that I had enlightened myself before I ever started taking drugs without my knowing it. I was never able to pinpoint what it was about myself that just let me "be".

Once I started taking drugs I was able to analize myself in a way that I'd never done before. By analizing I was able to pinpoint certain characteristics about myself that made me happy.

Ironically, once I pinpointed those characteristics I was aware of them to the point where I TRIED to make sure they were there. I was no longer just "Being" I was trying to force something that was there before, but something I just wasn't aware of before.

Ped, I definately agree that one cannot become enlightened through drugs or through meditation. I believe it just happens.
