There's a lot of different Ochra genetics out there so take this with a grain of salt, but my genetics will overlay pretty bad in a tub and and I don't get the best coverage.



The last mini tub I ran before putting the culture in stasis was placed in one of my automated tubs. 85% of the overlay never showed and I got a much better coverage.





I just revived my culture and this time I will try to run them in trays and in a dreamer tub(automated setup) because I never felt like my culture was happy in a tub.

I'm not saying that is the case with your culture or that you need to use a automated setup, just wanted to share my experience with my culture and say that I was not able to give them the conditions they needed to perform at their best in a tub, they either wanted more air or lost too much water

Yes, people called them "natalensis" or "nats" until about 2 years ago. What got passed around as "natalensis" was actually a distinct species from the proper natalensis type specimen, so now that species is called "ochraceocentrata" or "ochras" instead. Cultivating actual natalensis is rare, but ochras are common, pretty easy to grow, and tend to be more potent than classic cubes. Mine tested around 1.5%, give or take, and that's just a particular culture I like because it doesn't drop spores.
