Yeah I'm not happy about it. Was gonna get it bottled in the next few days too.  Oh well, I'll redo it and make sure I sanitize everything better.  Almost 2 months down the drain tho...

That fucking sucks man.

So you think it originated on unsanitised equipment?

Everything went through the sanitize cycle in the dishwasher but I had to improvise the weight (ziplock bag and water), that just got dropped in.  Gonna make it again later today but I'm gonna hit the equipment with a starsan soak this time.  I have a better weight and airlock too

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but why not sterilize it in the PC?

(not being a smartass, I would think that's the move with a glass jar and stuff)

Just needs to be sanitized for fermenting.  It's kinda like making mead but instead of pitching yeast I'm propagating lactobacillus to ferment the peppers and blueberries, gives the final hot sauce a nice twang.

Morning folks.

Listen I totally see how the dots could be connected and one could think ras was catnip hiding in plain sight bet lets all take a pause and think it over.

Read ras' posts.  Read his innoguaration in the notm thread.  Read what hes all about.  Ras is an insanely complex and intelligent person and an immaculate writer.  Extremely coherent.  Say what you will about catnip but he wasnt ever quite capable of making himself understood like ras is.

It was a joke dudes.  Try to see the humor in it.  Personally i thought it was funny and also just super clever, colorblind as it may have been.  Possibly still warrants a little 5 day vacay if the mods deem so, but certainly within plausibility.

Now i know the people that catnip upset are still pretty sensative about it.  I personally am not one of those people but i empathize with the victims and i fully support the mods--especially stipe--in the whole fiasco.

Im simply saying "slow your roll" please.  Look more carefully.  An actual puppet check isnt even neccesary if you are actually involved enough with ras to know him as a person.  Its an obvious gag in retrospect and a clever one.  Im asking the whole booth here to lighten up a bit.  Its been almost a year since catnip caused the scene.  I dont exactly think its "too soon" to joke around a bit but ras frankly just wasnt there and didnt quite understand the severity of it.

ANYWAY good morning folks.  I love you.  I got a great big nasty job to do today but i have been trying to be more active in the community since leavint my corporate gig.

Confession tax:  i dont actually know how legos work.  I used to think the little nubs actuallly squished into the spaces via deformation but thats not true.  Theres such a thing as glass legos.  I just dont get it after all these years.  Duc does--obviously--and tries to explain it but im too dumb.

I confess I'm left a bit confused.

I was away for a day and I've just seen all this mess with Rasmo. I don't know if someone could take a moment to briefly explain the story to me, or if it's better to just let it go.

I don't know the whole drama, but I liked Rasmoโ€”at least during my short stay here.

It's a real shame that people behave like this. I don't get it. I don't understand why people invest their valuable time, attention, and energy in this kind of shitty behavior. I fail to see any benefit in it.

I view this forum as strictly topic-focused, very technical, and possibly boring for many people outside this context. You have to be passionate or very curious about the subject matter in this field to find it useful. It doesn't strike me as a fun place for trollsโ€”it's not a social media streaming chat. Something just doesn't add up.

Was it all a lie? To what end? It's utterly surreal. I hope those of you who got emotionally involved (however little) with this persona can process it smoothly and that it doesn't affect your trust toward future members of the forum.

:babypalm:

I feel bad about it.

Anyway โ€” hugs

Admittedly sticklebrix held some mythic intrigue for me cos I seriously couldnt really make fuck all out of them yet the other kids seemed to champion them.

Those sticks were definitely compression fit. Legos are apparently friction fit. But I just don't fucking get it

here's what comes to mind, last night when I was printing semps I tried to pull apart stacked plastic shotglasses.

With force they wouldn't budge, like a chiense finger trap

I had to just hold them loose and let them seperate gently... Seems air played a role.

Is THAT friction fit?

perhaps like when PB has to show Marcy how to phase through the shrub
