YES! WE NEEDED THIS RAIN SO BAD! Not cult related but I am amped for it! caerulipes peak season is just around the corner and the timing couldn't be better! I found an epic spot that's absolutely perfect for caerulipes here in Wisconsin. I'm really hoping to find a wild Psilocybe for the first time ever in Wisconsin this year! 🤞 🤞 🤞 Time to put Wisconsin on the Psilocybe map!

We had our first rain in months the other night. It came at the perfect time to cool us down so we could open the windows and turn off the AC.

I don't know what the fuck is up here but these are some of the coolest mushrooms I've ever grown.

These are all hillbilly (maybe pumpkin var) so far.

And then these are some colorado clone I've been doing lots of work on. First tub is awesome. Second tub is fucked, but in a way that made the biggest cap drop spores on what is normally a sporeless variety, so all around I'm amped.

From a few days ago

Is this some kind of rosebud-adjacent thing? Some kind of disease? The fact that it happened to two varieties, the first of which is straight laced, makes me thing it has to be something environmental.

Some necrosis on the stipes, maybe some Pseudomonas trying to get a leg up. Mist less, drop temps, more FAE is usually the way to deal with stuff like that.

Looks like some old school sandbags, don't forget to poke a few holes, if you haven't already.  Bags are a little tricky, but they work as well, tubs are easier without a doubt.  GL to the finish Line!

Interesting. These were full neglect flushes. Zero misting, temps were ~68-74, almost no FAE apart from fahtlock needle holes and whatever gets through closed shoebox lid. Some of the earlier flushes did have a bit of dip in the cap where it was starting to do a toroidal thing, but nothing like these later deformations.

I like em! Gonna have to read about psuedomonas now, not familiar with this.

The Tampanensis box I put outside has given a surprise through the heatwave!

I threw some water onto the matted, chazzed up, hydrophobic surface and will check again, will pluck & keep the fruits for a trip and leave the box to hopefully make truffles.
Plate ready for next Tampanensis attempt indoors.

Someone asked is these are landrace. What I was told is that they were foraged & harvested from the camaguey region & what I was sent was an f2. But I do not know if landrace or not.
