Ok so here is a melmak iso3 gifted to me. I put it to grain and slanted it also. I have other jars colonizing. 2qts spawn. 1:1.5 CV. I jiffy cased at 80-85%. It started slow then just took over. Once I seen a pin I flipped the lid. (Sweater box).
 
Since then its pinning like crazy. My gifter said it will fruit very heavy flush. So I'm excited to see this one out and the others.
Is it a big deal that one small spot on casing isnt colonizing?

Ok so I think I remember that this is two really slow qts of spawn. I think on was a thought to be PE (wasnt PE at all) and the other melmak PE, I dont know.
I had two tubs and one went green.
There was 2 qts in each.
Labeled melmak , melmak , melmak, & PE (it actually wasnt. It was the mystery clone that is just normal.
So these caps are looking normal. But sum seem melmak.
I guess well see how it turns out. More pics tomorrow.
Or they are both melmak.
My dude said let them mature pretty good and they'll start going crazy.

They look like normal cubes to me. The one and only time I grew MelMac they ended up being regular cubes with a couple of random MelMac looking fruits. I’m going to try again soon I have a couple of swabs from different people I’m hoping one will produce actual MelMac fruits.

Yeah idk. If it is the qt of clone spawn mixed with the qt of melmak they mixed good.
Ok so there was the 4 qts.
3 melmak
That produced these on the other bags of same culture.
I think they are white because environmental.
If the second jar in this tub wasnt melmak then it could be spawn from a clone. These.
They were a clone of this that was given to me as PE but wasnt as the above mono shows.
So one quart of the 2 is definitely melmak.
Do you think it's a successful cross or what?
Cant wait to see how much they mature and what comes out of it.

What kind of environmental factors do you think made them have the white caps? They’re really pretty

Well I did a late casing (first time) and it was jiffy "right out of the bag" bullshit. Literally. So it was dry! I'm dumb. It was a lil moist. Barely.
So I tried to make up for it but I didn't mist much because I didn't know how wet it was supposed to be. It stayed pretty dry and didn't colonize that much at all really. It was crappy.
That whole tray of whiteys is from 3 58qt monos. So my harvest was fucked.

Ok here is morning pic.
What does this mean?
The melmak look is kinda gone but the size is huge. I wonder if I did mix spawn. Should I let them mature or harvest and wait for second flush

Maybe they did cross, they look like the non PE pheno melmak popping up lately, only more cube like.
   
I’ve about given up hoping for PE type fruits from my melmaks. Three ms grows all produced the same types as these pics.

Well they are big. I know one qt is melmak in this tub. So maybe they crossed maybe not. I printed 8. Cloned 1.
I'm going to give few away in giveaway and I dont know what to call it.

I’m just curious how long it took to get those fruits? Doesn’t melmac take a longer time than other cubes to fruit?
