Alrighty guys... Took a long break and slowly creeping my way back in. A friend sent some really cool agar cultures to me maybe a month or two ago. I certainly wasn't up for making grain so I grabbed some whole grain brown ready rice. I inoculated these bags from a CLEAN agar culture under my FFU using complete sanitary practice. Everything has been colonizing nicely.

Now, what I didn't like about this UB Tek, is that there's only one small see through window on the bottom of the bag. There's no great way of telling what's actually finished. However, placing the agar only on the top of the bag (with some accidentally falling down the sides) made me more confident in believing that the bag was completely colonized once I seen that window filled with mycelium. I still waited an additional 2 weeks after colonization of the bottom.

Today I broke up a bag of zapotecorum and spawned it to bulk coco coir and vermiculite. I prepped this bucket of sub with cold tap water 6 months ago and forgot about it. Today it was still looking great 😎

Now I do want to point out that I will NEVER do multispore to grain.

What do you guys think? Failure or success in my future?

1st pic looks like improperly melted Camembert with rice stuck to the outside. Maybe that's what you want, I don't know nothing about zaps.

Dude I live in Wisconsin and still had to look up what camembert is 😂 but yeah the yellowed mycelium is fine with this species

You should try some camembert... it's a lot like brie, nice and soft, melts like a dream.

Just made 2x 8lb and 1x 9lb fruiting bags of 118 (coco only) and I used 2.5 quarts h²0 per 650g of coco) Its almost perfect.

Im inocculating 16lbs of grain tomorrow.

Doing good too for the most part. I took about a year off myself. Ramping back up. I have two different zap spores you sent me in tween 20 solution right now, because I couldn't get them to germinate on agar. Don't be a stranger around here. You were missed.

Thanks man that's nice of you to say. We all need a break at times. I hope they're prints I sent you if they're dormant. And I hope you're using the entire print and not that much water. The more spores you use, the better when they're dormant!
