Cultivation General Discussion 30

Don't know why we don't have one of these, but apparently people get fussy when posts are "off topic" in a given thread. So, here's a thread where nothing is off topic as long as you can somehow draw a connection between it and cultivation.
I don't have any major topic suggestions, but if you're looking for something worth talking about, you could start with genetics, lineages, site/community project suggestions, "dafuq is this?" type posts, requests for assistance pointing to your own thread, disputing current techniques, etc. Hell, if you just want to ramble on about cultivation, while I may normally object, this is the place to do it. (I'm looking at you Fractal)
So, if that's all, and I think it is, go ahead and cut loose.
Important Edit:
Okay, so, maybe don't quite cut loose. We do want to stay on the topic of cultivation. If we start wandering outside of that then there's no reason for this to be here. We can talk about what the fuck ever in journals and some of the other forums, but let's keep it on topic here. If this thread serves its function correctly, that can mean a lot less bullshit in other threads, meaning thread subjects could plausibly be used in the search engine to accurately find actual discussion about said topic. Groundbreaking, I know.
Go forth and do.

goodbye until a long guys, i managed to land a job in sweden in a mushroom production company and i seized all activity now in december it felt like the right thing to do, and it did help that i had been under attack from fungus gnats for over 3 months and the winter air inside made keeping heat and humidity up at the same time more annoying and time demanding.
ill be back at some point, and ill be back in autumn for continuation of my work to succeed in fruiting semilanceata inside and outside, but for now im moving on to a simpler life
ive lived off my agar work for 2 years, ive fruited a extremely rare psilocybe fimetaria species, ive been hounded and pestered by shroomery, put in my place, several time over
and I thank you for it. this week when we were working i was commended by the chief technician for making bags/inoculation for my "grain eye", that i knew how the grains we used should look when they were healthy, axenic and properly colonized.
you taught me this shroomery, you did so many things for me, you taught me agar, you helped me live and feed myself, i gained respect in the view of others, i came into contact with celebreties, criminals and a plethora of people that have helped shape me into a singular interest: to work with mushrooms, to make my own company, and to run a legal business through the hard work of making shrooms from A to Z
you guys are so strict that you made me competent and knowledagable enough to land a job i the sector.
remember this, never let the rigidity off, never truly give up autustic, cold hearted tough love parenting that you have been giving me, and most people wont know why, and it wont be known, cause i will never say it, it will always be a secret between shroomery and me
your love for the parable/story of the returned son in the bible
Shroomery,
You dont really give people up but sometimes you wait, in your way, until people themself are ready
thank you for teaching me shroomery school, by now I'd definitely call you a university,

Hey y'all, I owe an apology.
I was a real dick to Chris in here the other day and that was absolutely unshroomy.
Chris, I'm sorry. Wether or not I think you're right shouldn't affect how I treat you as a person. I took out my bad week on you and that's a dick move.

All that really matters is results. A good grower is one who is able to identify conditions and adjust for it, not someone who adheres to a rigid formula regardless of region.

Well folks I have been off for a few months while the boujee nursery I do landscape design for hibernates for winter. I love it since mushies have supplemented my life and time off gives me time to grind. Often still putting in 40 hours a week on cultivation. Spring is here. Time to unload a truck in the rain in the A.M. I have set myself up to keep this a mushroom packed (spring)summer. Often I disappear with the 40 hour grind + taking care of my own yard. This year im devoted to keeping a perpetual grow during the normal work grind. I didn't grow all winter but my first good looking cube jar is colonized and I have almost a dozen other species up and running.
My attendance might be spotty for a lil while but i'm gonna stick this one out. I will be posting with some fun picture post for you all soon. Have fun Shroomery.

Hello Shroomery,
I probably won't ever post much, but the info here has been super helpful and allowed me to successfully grow some cubes! I've been wanting to do this for about a decade at this point, so I thought I'd post here to thank all you people who contribute here.

Relax bud, your grains are fucked and that's ok. Don't take it personally. No need to drag your service record into this, or your emotions. Your ability to produce clean spawn isn't a reflection of your self worth, the fact that I said "your grain is fucked" doesn't say anything about you, or anyone else . (Exept for me, it says I'm an irreverent yet helpful cunt)
I am a smartass, guess where I learned? The infantry
Molds die at low temps so it stands to reason that most if not all mold in your jars have been atleast pasteurized. Bacteria will reign free. If you're saying you don't see contamination it's due to a lack of experience.
Welcome to the shroomery, roll with the punches, and have fun; but don't expect to hang out with bored internet nerds and not catch some tomfoolery from time to time. You're all one step away from paying for protection in prison anyways, so you might as well get used to the rough stuff

Your grow sucks. This isn't a place of compassion, empathy, perineum sunning, crystals, voodoo, or pandering to the weak of mind. Sure, some of you are hippies and that's great but the growing of fungi has nothing to do with how tightly your mothers apron strings cut off all blood to your testicles.
Subjective emotions have nothing to do with cultivation; if your spawn is objectively contaminated, then stop crying about it with walls of text. We're not here to pat you on the bottom.
For those of you who gasp in disbelief while sitting behind your computer or staring, mouth agape into the light of your cellphones, get over it. You're a fucking criminal even if your favorite pastime is sponge baths from mom and devil sticks by candlelight.
Be very worried about how much money your mom can lay on for commissary because it will be the only thing keeping you from getting your feelings hurt in prison. Now that's the definition of "unconscious humans", you're a gawd damned gaggle of felons bitching over what wouldn't even be considered rough talk in elementary school, ffs.
Even if I'm wrong and your grow is even more epic than Gilgamesh, fuckn suck it up buttercup, and cultivate a pair.
