Is this issue specific to just the yeti? Could have something nasty riding along in your culture. Had to abandon the Gandalf culture I had cause of something similar. Just spit ballin

Actually, no. Literally everything I've spawned since May has gone to hell on me. Ive usually gotten a single flush first anyway, but the yeti is standing out bc it's almost always during and sometimes before the 1st flush. Having other conversations about this is really shining a light on this apparently be a problem with where I'm living.

I was upstairs, and now I'm downstairs, which includes a poorly sealing door to the basement, which is a dingy ass limestone foundation and the filth that goes with that. Im moving in a week, so I'm just gonna hold off spawning anything until then. Hopefully that puts the whole thing to rest, but I'm still dying to know wtf is going on.

Can a high spore load really be a possible issue here?

If you're doing proper clean work you should be able to do it in a sewage treatment plant.  But yeah, more load more risk.

I've been having problems lately and realized it was a dirty coir bucket :shrug:  Sometimes it's real simple.

One time i was struggling with mold before the first flush and it was because i was using a full mono to get some extra headroom for my shoeboxes and id just cycle em through. Felt great. More convenient than a liner.

The problem is when i would harvest id drop sub from my butts in the bottom of the mono.

There might be decaying sub somewhere?

Im kinda with milkboy tbh.

Closer shots of 2 of the 4 jars that all look just like this. They're clean spawn, according to my judgement, so please let me know if y'all see anything fucky. Matter of fact, I'm gonna shake them again and check recovery in 24hr just for the sake of being extra thorough.

I love to hear a TC say that bc I chased my tail for months thinking I had fucky spawn when the reality was that the myc is just inconsistent in appearance on WBS.

One final thought - what are the potential outcomes from excessively high temperatures, bc that is a possible problem here too. I use the only bedroom for cult and then have a window AC that cools the rest of the apartment and then I have a tower fan on its side blowing cool air into the room from under the door. It's definitely not ideal, but it's ferda cats and I'm not sure a window AC in the grow room wouldn't create it's own problems.

I would expect to see signs of stressed myc, yeah? Or would higher temps have the potential to weaken it to the point of allowing contamination to take hold without any other noticeable symptoms?

Ive got pans spawned 7/3 that all look pristine, and iirc, they're more heat tolerant anyway, which kinda got the wheels turning on that line of thinking.

Sorry - I didn't mean to be vague. I dont have an exact number, but I've seen 80 tossed around as an upper limit, so I guess I'm wondering how tubs will behave beyond that. Honestly, none of this really matters and I should just see how shit goes after I move. I'm rarely even at the apartment rn and cant keep an eye on shit so what's the point in troubleshooting any of this until I actually have my shit together. All good homie - I'll revisit when I'm not half assing it. 🤙

I always found 80 to be a silly upper limit for a tropical/sub-tropical fruit :lol:

I wouldn't worry unless you're hitting 90s

All my cubes fruit at 77f sometimes 93f

The only issues arise when there is bac involved it's a breeding ground at higher temp

Fruits grow quicker and in turn are sometimes more hollow at higher temp

I just thought of spreading the cool new genetics that were constantly
being ignored and disregarded as being fake. Shrug I don't care, just seeing people saying MIB RS is fake or MIB is fake if bullshit dude, you being a Moderator might or should know that. All I was doing was trying to

The little voice inside always found that curious as well, but everything I know was learned here and I haven't been led astray, so I just took it at face value.

At worst, the room would touch low 80s for a short while, if I had to guess. I haven't seen any noticeable indications of stress - no bruising or metabolites, so I would assume it's all good.

Ill circle back when I've got my ducks in a row. Thanks for the help, my dude.
