Was able to germinate spores from the B+ I grew last year :smile: I had this spore print hanging on the fridge for decoration. Thought for sure it had been exposed to the elements too long and I'd have to order a swab. I was wrong, just pulled 3 plates off the original. Hell yeah :stoned:

Last night's tea, 131g fresh ochras, split 3 ways:


...and that tub is still pushing out a second flush:


The left side is dry because the fruits in the bottom right corner actually pulled the dub tub to the right and left a gap. And check out those little green dot caps!

That's why we always take prints and more prints (can always trade the extras). :congrats:

This is a hobby rooted in self sustainability, and spores are the most important part.

For this tub, I used apple wood chips and I just boiled them for about an hour on the stove. I know people add grain spawn to chips that have been fermented, but I wanted to see if this would work. I understand the risk is a bit higher this way, but I’m just having fun with it and trying things out.

I have 2 half gallon jars with apple chips I actually sterilized, and I’ll be adding ovoid spawn to those as well. Pretty soon.
