Was able to germinate spores from the B+ I grew last year  I had this spore print hanging on the fridge for decoration. Thought for sure it had been exposed to the elements too long and I'd have to order a swab. I was wrong, just pulled 3 plates off the original. Hell yeah :stoned:

Last night's tea, 131g fresh ochras, split 3 ways:

...and that tub is still pushing out a second flush:

The left side is dry because the fruits in the bottom right corner actually pulled the dub tub to the right and left a gap. And check out those little green dot caps!

That's why we always take prints and more prints (can always trade the extras). :congrats:

This is a hobby rooted in self sustainability, and spores are the most important part.

Nichrome man I just found the old Fiji Monster print you'd sent and did some double-swabskis with the last bit of my playa print.  Been eyeing pics of these cheesewheel lately wondering what other cool stuff these might produce... :strokebeard:

Tax: Sending another squat mac today/ making some LC from this barf boi.

Any updates?

All the crosses I did with those two were freaks in one way or another. All cool stuff but not in any way suited for novices.

Not much to show off, I’m just entranced by how quickly this ovoid myc is colonizing the wood chips. Hungry babies.

For this tub, I used apple wood chips and I just boiled them for about an hour on the stove. I know people add grain spawn to chips that have been fermented, but I wanted to see if this would work. I understand the risk is a bit higher this way, but I’m just having fun with it and trying things out.

I have 2 half gallon jars with apple chips I actually sterilized, and I’ll be adding ovoid spawn to those as well. Pretty soon.
