lots of fae will be your best ally now.  ez dial is hard to fuck up. your yield is going to be severely compramised and it might trich out but i think this is the best bet.

Is there any use for an AiO bag at all then?

Not at all worth buying.

Maybe DIY AIOs for some exotics or gourmets, but not really useful for cubes.

You'd probably still be better off making your own. I think a lot of commercial mushroom farms squirt liquid inoculant culture into sawdust-mix bags and whatnot. But that's largely to be able to work at scale.

God damn!! This right here is what the shroomery should have always been like.

I haven’t posted on here forever. I was really into this site over a decade ago, but the older grumpy users that thought they were better than everyone to the point of gatekeeping knowledge, encouraging outdated teks and messing up because they felt they had to so that means everyone should (basically jealousy), just really drove me away from this site. Don’t get me wrong, the best way to learn is to not have your hand held and everything given to you, but to make mistakes and learn through trial and error. But the attitude and atmosphere of this site a decade+ ago just left a distaste in my mouth.

This is how you teach. This is how you spread knowledge. I wish this type of content was here when I first started the hobby. It would have saved me, and thousands of others so much. Think of all the wasted time, resources, unnecessary pollution accumulated, etc. that could have been avoided if people knew how to teach and share.

Thank you for being a true teacher. People like you keep interest in everything mycology alive.

I just read your post, then looked at your account's registration date, then thought, OK, I guess they must have had another account or been lurking here....no, goddamnit, 2012 is now a decade+ ago lol

My, how time flies.

Yeah, a lot of us learned from the greats but also dealt with all the bullshit you describe, and threads like this are at least somewhat a reaction to that experience. For me, I can say that it also goes way past this site, or mycology in general, and applies to various other pastimes and counter-culture spaces. Jerkiness, purist gatekeeping, and "my way or the highway" attitudes used to just be way more normalized, in my experience. And I feel like a bunch of us probably even emulated all of that negativity just because we thought it was part of the whole deal, and didn't realize that it really doesn't have to be.

Can’t tell too much from those pics, but if it’s getting some FAE thru the ez dial holes then it’s really a waiting game for pins.  Just don’t let it dry out, and mostly try to leave it alone and let it do its thing.

pics look steamy! My tubs always steam up at first and then water begins to condense into droplets. Probably a good sign?

My bad for the blurriness (especially the pic of the inside of tub) but definitely looks less steamy after about day 5 I think. Pretty sure it looks valid so far

Thoughts ? Theres a yellowish spot on the bottom that doesn’t look too good spawned almost 2 weeks ago I think. And the condensation kinda stopped

Please start your own thread and post your questions there.  It doesn’t appear that you are using an AIO grow bag which is the topic here. :mushroom2:

agree, you ought to post your own thread, but that does look a bit dry.  might need to mist to get your surface conditions back and then tape a few holes to keep it.
