Yep, in a shoebox with bottom water.
I was betting on the pseudozaps to pin first, since the myc looked so vigorous, but they still busy eating the casing. Only the Hoogshagenii isn’t thrilled :shrug:

Wow, this is really cool. I have trip many times with this species; my first trip was with them. Now I decided to try cultivating them and started with collecting specimens. I went to the Sierra Sur in Oaxaca, Mexico. I found some very small ones and could only take prints from P. caerulescens. Fortunately, I have a friend in the region who took me to the places where they grow, and he took prints from the ones he found. I placed the spores on MYA, and in 5 days, they had already germinated. I will start working on agar and LC. Here is a small one I found.

Anyone else playing with Popocatepetl?
This variety is a game changer ime. It grows more like subtropicalis than the standard zapotecorum.
It pins quickly (3 weeks +/-), grows abundantly, doesn't abort, prints nicely, and clones easily.
