every time i go to 45 mins i got more dark burnt agar and nothing grows on it:shrug:

No idea what kind of atom bomb pressure cooker you have, but ive sterilized grains jars for over 3-4 hrs before. Came out fine and unburnt... How is the grain burning if theres moisture in the PC

Agar cycle times are volume dependent. Not only that but I have sterilized agar, first hand experience, at above 121°C for longer than 45 mins and have never once in all of my years experienced evwn a single problem, ever.

okay at this point its a question, i got 13psi i follow the cook times according to tables i get burnt agar and burnt grain:shrug:

Like I said. Only noobs have this problem. I have been reading posts on this board for some time now, I have never once even heard of such a thing as a dead plate until like 6 months ago.

I have never heard of a single reputable cultivator ever even hint at something like this being possible. I have never personally experienced, nor have I read about it in published papers. It is a completely new phenomenon experienced by like 4 noobs, so far as I can tell.

I'd love for another TC or someone with a registration date older than 5 years to correct me, but I highly doubt that will happen.

try with PDA shoot for over time.i  can not say for other agars i never used them, and i am not talking about potato flakes i am talking about potato extract, dextrose.

in my case its not a dead plate, it becomes like water agar. growth is too slow and on some paltes weeks after nothing grow.

dude we are all noobs reporting something maybe you investigate

Sure, perhaps there's something special with PDA that I'm unaware of, I've never used it. I have a pretty firm grasp of the underlying mechanism which govern these basic techniques and would be very surprised if water agar could produce growth, but some magical chemical reaction at 121°C rendered your agar completely and irrevocably sterile.

PDA or otherwise.

If such a reaction does exist it will take more than (no offense intended) more than a handful of noobs to convince me.

45mins at 15 PSI after 15min vent, volume around 20ml each plate (I pour 24 plates from 500ml with a bit of leftover). Breiss Pilsen Light Dry Malt Extract (lovinond 2) at 2% by weight. Plate waved around my living room at head level.

Sure, but like I said previously, months ago:

Correlation ≠ causation.

There must be something else at play here because 121°C isn't all that hot, 45 minutes isn't so long as to not only completely denature every available protien, it's denatured to the point where life has become impossible.

This should be self evident to anyone who thinks about this problem for a second. There is no causal relationship. There is a lack of historical evidence, or experience by capable cultivators.

I have no idea what the hell is happening. What I do know is that the claim that agar becomes a growth inhibitory substance after 20 mins in the autoclave is fully retarded.

i try a lot of times to get out of PDA for very reason not much info is available plus i been using your table for very reason i am getting result at 25 minutes time for 250ml
i talked with a lab, they told me this part, time and agar medium and not to over shoot potato extract.:shrug: the info i posted this out of a lab that sold me dextrose

dude i am computer engineer by profession not claiming or ever claim to know it all, all i got is info and pipe it through shroomery. 

when i had problem with seed burst i straight forward came to you for very reason TC.:shrug:

no offense taken, i just wanna figure out da heck is wrong PDA, out side of NORTH AMERICA, things are not according to shroomery tek, sourcing things is not easy amazon outside of NORTH AMERICA does not carry same products.

yeast is not easy to get, i try the brewery once for malt extract didnt went well. so i been using PDA for three years now.
