Small confession of two things I’m excited about.

The first is in a month I come off of blood thinners after being on them for 18 months! This was after having two stents placed. And now I have a total of three, which is better than the alternative that could have happened. I’m always doing things and usually don’t bruise but these things make me bruise easily and it is fucking annoying. I am also always worried about cutting myself. Just a razor nick while shaving or a nose bleed can be a real nuisance.

The second is the Dr put me on a prescription for acid reflux a couple weeks ago. This has been a game changer. I used to eat Tums like candy 4 or 5 times a day. A little physical activity like changing my oil or walking at a brisk pace would be a nightmare. Sex could even trigger acid reflux at times, which was absolutely horrible. Drinking my morning coffee, spicy foods, pizza, pasta, so many foods, became a big problem. Laying on my right side was even a trigger. Now on this prescription and I’ve got my life back! Haven’t had a single Tums in two weeks. Not one bit of acid reflux. I think I can do physical activity again and not be tortured by it.

Cyanisorus is the name I'm planning to use if I ever manage to cross those two.

Think I just germinated some bisporus.  I will pull my cyan mono out and give it a try too.

No, only a few paragraphs here and there explaining my strain cross methods. I’ have lots of documentation and some microscopy on hand so  If the bisporus cross is legit, I’ll get into the details in the near future.  These are parasexual crosses.

Thanks man! It was wondrous to walk out into the woods for hunting and not get acid reflux for the first time in years. I was huffing and puffing a bit from being out of shape, but not to have my esophagus burning like a volcano was just amazing. Now to get back to a point where I don’t huff and puff anymore will give me great joy.

yo az, im so happy for you man.  real health isssues scare you in a way thats just unnatural. i hate telling anecdotes to relate to personal stuff but its just how im going to.

first time i woke up from skin cancer surgery--thinking it was gonna be a 30min thing that turned into 4 hours, and my face all fucked up like a crazy lady's quilt, i remember juat pacing around my apartment thinking "welll thats it.  im
fucked.  theylll just keep takin away parts of me until theres nothing i remember myself by or it gets into my lymph system and im done in 8 months flat"

poor duc.  she watched me do this.  pace around with my knees shaking saying "what am i gonna do, duc?"

of course she said what any angel would "it will be ok.  well get through whatever comes"



anyway the point is man, i know that fear and i know that feeling of making permanant life changes.  and i know the elation of finding out "its gonna be okay"


so i am so happy for you brother. man that feels so good.


its gonna be ok, brother.  love you bud.

Thank Beef! Those words mean a lot man. Really. I don’t get too personal on here, but this really made me happy and I’ve been wanting to share it. I like sharing good news, and I just kinda suck down my own bad news and deal with it.

However man, I know you’ve got stuff you’ve been dealing with and I just want you to know that you and some of the others that go through shit, I think of you guys daily and hope you’re all doing ok and getting through the days the best you can. When I say people are in my thoughts, I mean it. But for real, when duc says that stuff, listen to her. My wife says the same things. They mean it. They love us. We are lucky men. There is nobody else I’d want to get through difficult times with by my side and I know the same holds true for you even if you know it or not. Remember she is just not any angel, but your angel for sure.

And fear, yep. It’s real. Every time I get a tickle in my chest, weird sensation in my chest, or something strange I immediately think - oh fuck, this is it. A heart attack will change you forever.

If I don’t take it every morning my day tends to get miserable. It’s literally the first thing I do. 24oz of water and my pill, wait 20 minutes and coffee. I have a hiatal hernia so the acid just pushes up into my esophagus and ruins my day.

I confess i just ate the biggest meal I have in a loooong time. My stomach feels like a brick.
Fried up a couple egg whites I had left from some mayo I destroyed, topped it with cheese and bacon. Then I put that on top of a boneless skinless chicken thigh I fried to perfection that was resting on a bed of lettuce atop a healthy layer of guacamole on a well toasted bun (toasted with bacon grease)
