Lew, again, so glad you're back. And that is almost exactly how it went down. I told my girl at the moment, and she was offended by it. Told me that if I felt that way, my love was not pure.. I disagreed, and explained it. And when she got it, found peace with it.

Ait Gil, let's do this, just remember you asked for this.

I was not your average cat owner, I was a full blown "crazy cat lady" owner. With that out the way, let me introduce you to my first real family.

First we have the oldest and the queen of the flock. Her name was Mysi and she gave birth to 3 of the cats in the flock, Kosegutt, Sky and Didel.





I got her from my mother in law at the time, she had met a new man and he wanted a dog, Mysi did not like it one bit, and my mother in law was to in love she just wanted to get rid of Mysi to please her new man, I said fine, I'll take her.

She was so full of joy when she was young, loved playing and always bouncing around getting in to trouble. That changed when she had her litter. I don't think she wanted to be a mother, but instinct and urges got the best of her.

She was a pretty good mother, but she had a lot of help from the second oldest in the clan SmΓ₯en(we'll get back to her in a little bit). So even though Mysi was a good mother it almost looked like she felt like a failure when her kittens never left the nest and she fell into a depression and the joy got sucked right out of her.

I tried playing with her and we could still have a good time, but it never lasted long and she would just walk away and eat before going back to sleep. She did stay close though and usually slept in my bed. She became overweight over the years, didn't seem to care, but food, sleep and cuddles was usually all she wanted.

So the second oldest in the flock was SmΓ₯en.





She was a little weird(like all the best ones are) and she gave birth to 1 of the other cats in the clan, Bolla. Even though I was there for both Mysi and SmΓ₯en when they had their litters, I was asleep when smΓ₯en gave birth.

Remember I told you how Mysi had good help with her litter? Well Mysi didn't really wanted to be a mother, and since SmΓ₯en was pregnant at the time when Mysi had her litter, SmΓ₯en became a second mother to Mysi's kittens, and it was truly a beautiful experience to witness, but, nothing comes without a price in this life it seems.

See the problem with that was, when SmΓ₯en went in to labor(while I was sleeping in the same room) there where already four 1 week old kittens nursing from her. So when she had her own three kittens they had to fight for survival against four kittens that was 1 week older.

I found one of SmΓ₯ens kittens dead the next morning, I still feel like a failure for not waking up when she went into labor, but I guess she didn't make a lot of sound, because I didn't wake up that night.

She loved being a mother though and she thought them almost everything except independence, Mysi aced that job with kicking them of every time they tried to nurse.

SmΓ₯en was always the mother in the flock even though Mysi was the queen, because she made sure they stayed in their lanes if Kosegutt was sleeping. She was also a real loving cat and could never have enough cuddles.

That brings us to Kosegutt.











He was the Alpha of the clan for the most of his life. He didn't want that role though and I know it weighted him down. We have to go a little back in the story.

Mysi also gave birth to a fourth kitten named GrΓ₯pus, he was the first born and the biggest cat I ever had, he became the Alpha almost at birth, and he owned that role. He was never cruel, never used his strength or violence to obtain the Alpha role. He used subtle body language and his size probably told the other male cats in the clan that it would be useless to even try to get him of his throne, he was a born leader.

Unfortunately GrΓ₯pus didn't get much more then a year old, he was poisoned by one of my neighbors, I later found out that the woman who poisoned him had recently been released from a mental institution, fuck her though, she gets no sympathy from me.

Well that is the back story of how Kosegutt got the Alpha role he never really wanted. Kosegutt was not a born leader and he would rule his kingdom with fear. He never hurt any of the clan members to the point where they were injured, but he would slap the other male cats a couple of times during a week, just to make sure they didn't fuck with him.

That said, he was really attached to me and he was always by my side. I think he liked not having to be the boss of me and having someone watch his back. He would wake me up or find me whenever the litterbox, waterbowl or food reserves was low, you know the deal, whenever there is a small hole in the center of the overflowing bowl of food.

He was always there when I tripped as well, the other cats just came got a little cuddles and found something else to do when I was tripping, Kosegutt was always there, he only left when his basic needs became to strong, then he would fulfill that need and come back to me. He was great cat.

His little brother Sky was also a weird one.





He would often lay on his back feet dangling above his head just looking at me like, check this out Kloakk, and then get the zoomies like he had rabies. He was the clown in the flock, always climbing on shit, then loose his foothold and fall down dragging stuff with him, land on his feet, have this crazy look in his eyes, and zoomies again.

He was also a assholes to his mother Mysi, I really don't know why, but he was bugging her all the time, like trying to catch her legs when she walked by or sit on her head, what he loved the most though was his little sister Didel. They where inseparable.


Didel was a real chill and loving cat.







She was the smallest of them all so she was picked on a lot, but she would not be bullied, she would slap whoever tried some bullshit and then run to me or her brother Sky. She also had that playful joy her mother once had, and she had it almost all her life, she loved chasing butterflies, mice, the occasional bee. She got stung a couple of times and her head got twice the normal size, didn't stop her though.

She was also very fond of cuddles and I admit to say, she might not have gotten the attention she deserved from me because she had her brother and they where always hanging out. The real loner of the flock was Bolla.

Bolla was the only survivor of SmΓ₯en's litter.





When I found his brother dead the morning after SmΓ₯en gave birth, I was afraid that he was not strong enough to make it, so what I did was let him nurse while I'd hold the other kittens away. At two weeks old he was like a square, length and width were the same.

SmΓ₯en never really took to him and all the other cats came from the same bloodline and as so he was the outcast, that had some similarities to my own story so of course we clicked and I never really stopped over protecting him. Looking back at it I might have made it worse by doing so, because if any of the other cats tried to bully him he would come straight to me and snitch.

Kosegutt really didn't like how Bolla came between me and him and probably gave Bolla a hard time because of it. Bolla just wanted to be accepted, he never wanted the throne, he just wanted to be one of the flock and after some of the others died he got his place, but he lived over 12 years  before that happened. 

It's been a long time since I've put this much energy in thinking about them, and now I know why, fuck I miss them.

I'm glad you liked it! First time I watched it I was on 5g of PE. I was absolutely fuckered and just bought into the story 100%. I think that experience endeared the movie to me.

Thanks Trypt, it's a hardcore life, death seems to be my ultimate inspiration to keep living. Cats is real, they never lie, the don't get too attached.

I gave them polloc every day for 18 years, and they still wanted more, they love life and want it all.

Good eye and yes, I went from crazy cat lady to no cats.. See the loss was too much for me.. It ruined me. That is why I can connect to what you talked about. The loss of my cats was hard, I am not ready to re live that loss and so, I have not get another cat, get it?

My wife was similarly affected by the loss of our dog. She still can’t stomach another dog and it’s been 8 years.

If it fits, tell your wife I get it. But I'll admit, fear shouldn't be a path. But I am not perfect, I'm not going to try to explain it even, but I am fragile, It's a paradox, I don't care if I die 3 seconds from now, but I wish a long and prosperous life on everything living.

I don't expect anyone to get this next part.

Whenever I shower, I kill thousands of living organisms, and I can't stop it, I need to shower, but i can't stop it, I think about it every fucking time I shower, my hands are full of blood and my excistence cost lives.
