I made some grain water agar, then forgot about it in the attic for over four years with everything from freezing temps to 60°C+. Then, after all that time I poured some plates, added a few drops from a spore syringe and got good germination and mycelium.

Guess ill be preparing some media bottles tonight! Thank you for the confirmation.

I thought to myself that it might be easier to put the stack of aluminium foil wrapped, pre-poured plates into a ziplock instead of cling wrap.. (supposing I have to remove the aluminium foil for clingwrap & not for a ziplock. But to be fair, that is a assumption!

Yes, leave the plates in the foil and put in a zip lock.

Plate E had a string of myc going straight up, so I just cut it without any agar and transferred to another plate.
I attempted to do similarly with AB, but the myc was just too airy and would flatten instead of being cut, so after I was done tearing up the plate I decided to just scrape off some myc (leaving what looks like a mouth on the plate) and transfer that!



Looking at them very closely I can see little strands growing off of the transfers.

I wonder how they'll turn out, I did my no pours a bit different this time. No micropore tape, two stacks wrapped in cling wrap then foil and two in just foil. Cooling overnight in the pc, gonna try to open them tomorrow night in the SAB if I have time after work. I wanna wrap the other two stacks in cling wrap
