Yup and I do. Just trying to clarify what was meant by proper procedure. I'd never run the PC without properly venting. I vent 15 minutes after seeing a constant visible stream of steam coming from the PC. Which usually happens around the same time as the lock pops up. Sometimes I'll lower heat during steam venting if it seems excessive but I make sure to keep a constant stream of steam for 10 to 15 minutes and only add rocker weight after. Then I usually turn heat back to max to achieve 15+ psi and reduce heat to minimum amount needed to keep 15psi. Which usually works out to just slightly under 3 on the heat setting.

I believe he was just making a low key joke about our mushrooms being our babies. Raising them from spore to mature fruits and taking care of them the entire time. Don’t believe he was actually saying you like 4yr olds. Hidden humor that didn’t read properly I think.

I'll be honest and say some people on the shroomery are super uptight, I'm not one of those guys.
