103$+tx, shipping included

Edit: Didn't really feel like spending that much on plates right now but figured it's better than keep to paying big $ for 20 at the time

Next time you get scalpel handles, get #7s

They're soo much easier to work with and not accidentally move your hand over the plate

No, a #4 will work..  Google a #7 scalpel handle and look at the pictures... it's quite a bit longer. It just makes sterile technique a bit easier

So #7 is better because it's thinner and longer?

Edit: #4 will have to do for now until I need something else on Amazon but thank you for these informations.

I need advice for these agar plates.

I don't want to transfer the first one because I'm days/weeks from being able to clone from its first batch and would rather trash it. As it aged, it developed a blue ring.

Is this blueing related to psilocybin at all? It seems the forums suggest it is because of dehydration, which makes sense since the plate is overgrown, but I would like to learn more about it.

Is this very thick vein from a lion's mane clipping a good transfer target or should I avoid it and target somewhere else? These clippings came from outside of the mushroom so have contamination. I'd love suggestions for where to take the transfer from. The grainy image is due to condensation on the plate lid because I didn't want to flip it upside down.

:whathesaid: I've got 4 of the #7 handles.. the length definitely helps when doing transfers.

The thin handles is also a bonus, it makes my setup possible. I flame all my tools, and then I'm able to work on 4 plates before reflaming my blades. Also, if I accidentally contaminate my blade somehow I can easily grab another blade without having to resterilize.. it makes my work flow really smooth.

Perfect! Durendal it is. Pick two varieties to cross, carve up the agar and call it Charlemagne!

If you're resourceful or poor. Use one of these to pour. Agar that is. Just put poly fill (pillow stuffing) in the bottle neck and cover tightly with foil.:stayfunky:
i always looked at these bottles and felt like i needed to keep them, now i know why. They can also work as a culture slant.

This looks like a great way to work. workflow is important and if you have an efficient system you'll always get more work done, make less mistakes and feel more calm. Just makes the experience more pleasurable and less like youre going to fuck it up.
