There is a simply solution to get clear PDA.

Boil 200g of peeled potatoes cut in big chunks for 30 min -instead of using flakes.

Tell me this is not clear. PDA (the D isn't actually dextrose but corn syrup in this one) from real potatoes:

You could just bookmark the page in your browser.. or hit the little finger with the string around it in the bottom of the post in “extras”.. it’s under the m in the word bookmark in your post

Yes you can. I know someone already answered but that button is a pain to find. Go to the thread you want to bookmark, scroll all the way to the bottom and it's there (as per the pic below).

Then when you look for it, just click ACCOUNT (top left) and it will show in your favorites.

yes right you are. Here is some B+ on PDA. I think this is transfer 2. Trying to get a monoculture from one of the good strong-growing sectors from this one as practice. As you can see I'm a ways out...Good growth though if not a little Tomentos. Anybody wanna slam my dish?

You can transfer that plate anytime. Actually you could have transfered a couple a days ago if you wanted to catch the new growth transfers since it's filled your plate

You meant isolate by monoculture?

Sadly you won't get that from one more transfer. You can either do many many more transfers or clone a nice fruit from what that plate will inoc.

Lately I've read that tomotose growth is just as good as rhizo. People just gravitate to transferring rhizo cause its pretty. I have a few T3 that are still puffy shits. 😆

I’ve gotten about 10 pounds of good fruits from a single tomentose agar plate. Nice sized GTs. Nothing wrong with tomentose.

Yes, thank you for correcting me. I can see where you thought I misunderstood; I didn’t word it correctly. The reason they are overgrown is that literally I have not been able to afford grains. I have been storing them in the fridge. Planning to do transfers and inoc bags with these as soon as I get the chance.

I posted them there back when they were harvested. I wanted to share them here to help reenforce that tomentose mycelium could lead to some good healthy grows. So I included that tomentose agar plate in the no pour I did before getting my FFU and switching to Petris.
