Two quarters, scotch tape. Taped each quarter on separately.

I made sure to center and stack them perfectly, so it still rocks if it hits 18, which I don't want. I like 16-17.

I also strive for excellence. I've got the All American 915, what psi/times would I strive for if I were to be doing 7 quarts of grain? And same ? for a couple 400ml of agar.

I would love to shave some time off of grain for sure

In jars I would do at least 15psi for 90 minutes. Probably 120+ in big ass bags.

Agar is quick which is why instant pots are good. 15psi for like 20 minutes should be plenty.

Is there a problem with sterilizing grain quarts at 18 psi? My electric stove is easier to keep my PC at 18 than at 15.

What do you guys do with grain quart jar lids in the PC? Loose with loose aluminum foil? Or something else?

That's how I've been running them. Last page was mentioned running 17 & 18-20 psi. Was just curious if this is a new thing to cut times down. And be excellent, of course.

Seeing I'm here...is there any reason I can't use 4 day old room temp GW? It smells ok

Finally found a yeast that dissolves fully in water, it's yeast extract powder from HiMedia on Amazon.

Plates are 1.5% lme, 0.2% soya peptone, 0.2% yeast extract powder, 2% agar.

Please excuse the condensation... I'm pouring just below 50*C and using a mug of hot water on top, leaving them in front of the hood for a couple of hours, but still they get all misty and wet. :wow:

I don't like the sludge. someone mentioned something that dissolves and i neglected to make a note and now can't find it in the threads.

lol, I got stuck in Spanish too. Click the flag by the search box at the top of the Amazon page, you can switch your language back there. At least it worked for me.

Pretty sure HiMedia Yeast Extract Powder is what people are reporting as dissolving clear. Got some on order, we'll see...
