Thanks!
Hardly scientific, total luck imho
Started with a Mastr Mix bag, inoculated Feb 21st. Broke it up and stashed it away. About 3 weeks ago, bag was finally puffy and had some condensation, so I wrapped the bag tight and made some X's and put it in the boomr bin with humidity, FAE fan and not much happened.

Last week, saw some bumps starting to come up where the X's weren't so I said f it, cut the bag off and wrapped it in plastic wrap and cut holes where the bumps were, upped the humidity and got serious about airflow and natural light control. Figured this will be my learning experience.

Was purple-pinkish yesterday (side bumps still are kinda)but when I took these pics, gotta admit I was pretty excited.

And I'm done buying bags etc. Working on doing my own substrates from now on. But that is the Boomr Bin with the Myco Mister mini and Myco controller and FAE mini from N Spore

Nice! I think you're going to love those mushrooms.

Hericium abietis (bear's head). I put holes on the top, and they decided to grow down through the folded over filter patch (and the rack below) instead.

And still these are by far the best looking Hericium I've had! Shout out to mboehm for the culture!

This is my first time growing chestnuts

Are these ready to harvest or do you think I let them go for a while longer?

The cluster on right looks perfect. It's OK to let the caps open up a bit more, but they get delicate and the caps start to fall apart easier. Nice work!

Nice job , now that fruits have formed  slowly increase fae, while maintaining high humidity.

High co2 will cause them to stretch (searching for fresh air) and caps to remain small..

Look like cinnamon sticks! How do they taste compared to oysters?

My best cluster, took a long while to pin but turned out pretty good for me

Do I need to dunk for second flushes or just wait?

thanks team!

Blue oyster LC (vendor) put to rye on Apr 26, does it look ok?

This is my first oyster anything except a plate of the same LC that looks similar (hard to tell with no food coloring).

I don't cult oysters anymore, but when I did I always did a soak between flushes for minimum of an hour
