I think your right oysters appear easyer but then
these were a kit,the oysters im going to do from scratch.
not sure on agar yet infact im reading up 2 night on peroxidated agar.
I just sent of for 50 plastic petris (?3)and an alchol burner(?1.50)
Dug an old fridge out the garage and started building a flow hood
as my glove box is to small.
All this is going into a spare room ive just finnished painting.
So i think im now ready to start collecting some other edible species.
The ones ive seen i like the look of the most are the golden oysters una grew.
If you havent seen them there way worth a look. There in this forum some were
And the beech ones hes now growing ive been reading up on today
So far two people have offered me help in locating culters so i love this place
Other prices ive seen on web site are like $125
More expensive than the drug strains lol weird hu?
So in the next couple of days i need to decide out of
Pleurotus djamor (pink oyster) but i preffer the golden but can't find its name lol
i wrote it down some were?
Hypsizygus tessulatus Sjimeji (the Beech mushroom)
Edit lentinus edodes (shiitake)not Lepista nuda
As well as trying to locate some cyans.
So busy winter ahead
Dam im going on today never typed so much as today
(i think its the new weed )
Edit: oh yeah your question i recone that caseing matterial that came with the kit was already sterilized so should be fine for casing cubensis.May be a little cloggy though i duno as casing is my next cubensis journey

Mostly new here too, but I have grown and am growing some of the same you named. right now I've got Shitaki,Stropharia,Pleurotus, and Reishi. Most are still headed to fruiting chamber, but all are active in bags and actively colonixing, including my King Stropharia.
