These guys really like eachother. I like to see when two different spawns are mixed that the colony finds it's own pattern like that instead of multiple conflicting phenos struggling to compete with each other in an attempt to stay what they are.

The next generation from spore should be really cool.

Ugh I have a pf Redspore syringe like this. That powdery stuff and the myc tangle together just fine. 3 of 10 pf cakes successful, and I think one or two plates out of 9 or 10 between inoculations and transfers are finally getting cleaned up. The mold was indistinguishable in LC too 😭

Lions mane is the most researched medicinal mushroom in the west.

Tons of peer reviewed research and lots of interest from western pharmaceuticals
because of b-glucan and erinacine-A concentration.

The whole medicinal mushroom hate associated with paul stamets is ridiculous

I’m allergic to shellfish too demonic, I only ate shrimp once when I was a kid but I remember it being good.


I wish those were new supras, I think they’re old grey on grey vaiders.


Lions mane is supposed fo generate nerve growth and help inflammation. There was a study that said Psilo and lions mane combos fixed tinnitus and hearing loss in a high percentage of people.

It's a harvest and cook bags kind of day.  All mazatapec.




Got a lot of varieties on the way, though :sun:  shout out to Alien and Pasty for their no pour teks.  I havent poured a plate in my life and it feels good to reuse plastic rather than toss it. happy friday everyone !

Oh and lions mane is so delicious :smile: it's cool how healthy it is for the mind and body too! Mushrooms for the win.

The idea that all modern day pharmaceuticals started with plant extracts, but somehow
mushrooms couldnt possibly have any benefit, blows my mind.

Ya penicillium can create penicillin but no other fungus can create a medicinally beneficial chemical :rolleyes:

Mushrooms are the best chemical factories on the planet. They make chemicals that are impossible to create in a lab. The reactions required to get from a to b are novel, as well as the compounds they produce.  Anyone who says otherwise is un informed.

I get that lots of people think paul stamets is a snake oil salesman, but just
because you dont like the mans business practices does not negate the medicinal nature of these organisms.

I know d3 didnt say anything about paul in particular but this whole "wook medicinal blah blah..."
narrative started with stamets bashing a few years back.

Ran a few underbed boxes with burmas.  They produced pretty well but all came out a bit thin.  Not sure if genetics or conditions were to blame.
