This one has a story to it. It was a mislabeled aztecorum swabs. These were grown on wood. Bark chips, alder oak and 10% wood based compost. The culture was very aggressive rhizomorphic mycelium right off the germ plate and it did crazy good on the wood I was sure it was a wood lover.

I tried this out as an idea for Xmas gifts this year. They had these at the dollar store. The plan was to spawn the containers and put them in Unicorn bags with instructions, so they can fruit their own mush. Didnt really have any takers, unfortunately.

Oh well. Still worked out better than expected. I think these guys are on flush #5 or so. I lost track. The sub is down to like 40% or so. I think it's about done though..

I did have the lid on the majority of the time, wish I would have remembered to take pics  :oldman:
I ended up poking about 9 extra holes on top before just putting the tray into a shoebox. Still has a couple days on it before harvest me thinks

Yeah that came out great. I was gonna ask if you poked extra holes or if the two vents was enough.

Did you keep it in the shoebox the entire time?

Photo cred goes to the fiancee, was to impatient to wait for the harvest shot and asked her to send pics while i was at work.

@aka no, i had it with lid on for the most part, stuck it in the shoebox hoping for larger fruit..no luck. This is a clone from a 50+ gram fruit..not a keeper

Timbit TEK (Canadians Only, Sorry Eh)

Variety: Alacabenzi

Substrate: I used whatever I had on deck, in this case cow manure & cacti soil mix.

Spawn: Was several months old and half rotten, washed in the sink and mixed in with the Sub.

Other Info: Timbit box was lined with a white garbage bag, sub & spawn was mixed together. Lightly cover with about half an inch of sub and used saran wrap to cover the timbit box. I put in on my my window sill and let it colonize for 7-10 days. Fruiting conditions I just unwrapped the saran wrap from around the timbit box, and just left loosely on top to allow the CO2 to escape, causing some evaporation. For fanning I would lift the saran wrap up and down, in a fanning motion. When the fruits started lifting up the saran wrap, I started to mist them, and used my phone as a fan, putting the saran wrap back on after to keep in humidity.
