I figured I'd try my hand at a novelty grow with exotics. The prince of Saiyans gave his life for this project.
After cutting open the stitching in the back of the head and body, I removed most of the polyfil.


I couldn't decide if I wanted to use Semperviva or Tampanensis so I used both. This was spawned at a 1:2 (spawn:sub) ratio by weight. The substrate is a mix of pasteurized horse manure, Coir, Vermiculte and sand. I don't know the exact ratios. I just eyeballed it until it felt right.

I put the Semp spawn in the head and the Tamp spawn in the body and arms. After about 5 or 6 days this should finish colonizing and I'll sew up the openings and place it in a JCM chamber.

The sub seems to be colonizing okay and there's myc starting to stick out of the fabric.


I sewed it up to the best of my abilities which wasn't very good.


Stuck it in the JCM and now we wait...

Well... that was lame. I should have used more coir in the mix. The sub dried out and the result was a but disappointing.

Pasty told me to post my PE in a penis grow here.

I started with a novelty Bachelorette party penis sippy bottle:


I drilled holes in it, stuffed it full of spawn and sub then tossed it in a unicorn bag and fucked off for a while:


It colonized but wouldn't fruit because it kept drying out:


I ended up surgerying out the cock, filling the plastic mold with sub and sandwiching it all togther, then fucking off again:


After a few weeks, I took the mold off completely, but found the balls were not sturdy enough to support the weight of the shaft or head.  I had to reinforce it by jamming toothpicks into the shaft part and taping the top of the folded bag to a shelf.  The only side that seemed to fruit was the side that was turned toward the window.  The side that was turned toward the wall did not fruit.


Anyways, thanks for reading.  I hope you enjoyed my penis.

The ice cube tray was so well received last month, I'm doing it again.
Using 3 varieties this time.
Hoping they all fruit at the same time.
For now, the alternating cells are creating this cool checkerboard pattern.

I was going to wait to post this until after it actually produced shrooms, I really didn't think it was going to work. But the jar is taking off, so here's a peak. Had to add some verm since I was iffy on whether they would retain water and figured it would keep them from becoming a goopy mess, but they seem to have not really needed it. Going to top fruit from the bag. Reason I tried these is because the ingredients had BRF listed, so I assumed at least the mycelium would like the coating. Breathing over the pot while soaking though.... Dear God, I was crying 😭
