I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

The "make believe" thing is only a problem if you make believe. If you do not it is the opportunity to lay out your argument in a structured way, with supporting evidence. I am OK with that

I do not see any evidence of outright illegality in the Bubbalinski claims but defo a strong suggestion of dealings most people consider dodgy. To me the issue is not that the feds should be knocking on Hunter's door but rather that

  • Joe has now denied he ever knew of the payments which, in itself, is a story becuse someone here is lying
  • the left leaning media, happy to endlessly speculate on Trump's alleged transgressions based on unnamed sources, suddenly decided that even a named source referencing the emails the authenticity of which has not been questioned is not enough to speculate on Joe's involvement


A case like this on the other side of the political devide would set the likes of CNN alight so this is quite striking

We're all so used to being lied to after 3.75 years of trump.

It all boils down to the lesser of two evils.  There's almost nothing you could show me that would make Trump qualify as that.

I am surprised at the volume of personal hostility towards Falcon here. We have crossed swords many times and seem to be miles apart ideologically but I rate his contribution because he is one of the very few posters who answer direct questions and do not routinely change subject when pressured

That may be fine for you but the role of the press in a free country is - in general - to report on potentially dodgy dealings they come across. If the likes of CNN have adopted your stance and decided that their readers do not need to know about the dirt on Biden because he is the lesser evil, period, I would expect an editorial piece clarifying it, for the benefit of those who turn to them for unbiased reporting - including the facts which may put Bidens in a bad light

Are you referring to a fisa warrant on Snowden? There didn’t seem to be any discrepancy as to who they were tracking, which is why it was deemed unlawful iirc
