I’ve just climbed a chicken of the woods and it’s come out like this. Does anyone have any experience

Did you make the plates yourself? Every one of my plates off my last batch looked like this. I had tried a different recipe and I think I made the agar to weak.

yeah i made them the same i always do minus the food coloring

Hey all, im a bit lost in the threads hope its okay to post. Iv been loving agar and started with jars now iv got some pp5 pots. With these pp5 i have tonnes of condensation so iv flipped them upside down but the myc seems to be growing down (like with gravity) not across the agar... is this normal?

Im thinking iv got to sterilise some new lids and swap them out, then i hopefully can keep them right way up without any water pooling.

Iv tried the hot cup trick and hopefully the next batch wont be so bad.

No advice to give but I was told by an old gourmet cultivator that chickens were impossible to fruit. He never said why though

Lol I've got Fairy Ring Champignon on agar atm. No idea what to do with it. Just cloned for the sake of cloning.
@edmunter even if it doesn't fruit, it'd be an interesting slant to add to the collection.

Id experiment with that matey. Try it on different substrates and bury some under you grass at different times of the years. What are the fruiting triggers. Be great to be able to fruit these indoors as thy are prolific outside... and taste amazing

Theres. a button above the text box that had a yellow picture icon. Push it and it and it will bring up a field where you can paste the url. All it does is add the tag [image] before the URL and [/image] after the URL. Alternatively you can just write the tags yourself.

I’m on here on an iPhone and when I upload a picture and it goes to the “upload successful” screen it shows the picture and a code under it. You click on the code and it automatically copies it which you then paste in a thread.

All of my plates look exactly like this. They're all transfers from clones.

I think it's mold meshed in with the myc. Idk how all my clones are turning out dirty if that's the case, but they do smell like mold. I don't think it's an agar issue because I've put pins on my plates and gotten great looking growth from them

I've put a plate like this to grain in the past and it colonized fine, started fruiting, but then started turning moldy after giving me a 40 gram flush form a shoebox.
