I have azures on the other side of that container. Same thing with the Ps. cyanescens.
The azures are sending out feelers into the soil in both containers but they are Much slower...
I’m not hopeful they will fruit this year.

The daily highs are mid to high 50s and the lows are low 40s.
It has been this cool for a few weeks now... trending downward. One reason that I have things in containers is that it gets cold fast here and stays cold till end of April... we even get a dump of snow in early May sometimes. I think Ps. Cyanescens, Ps. Azurescens, and Ps. Allenii can handle frost and occasional freezing - I don't think they survive a deep long freeze.

Damn you’re lucky with those temps.

How long was the process from knocking up spawn to pins for you with allenii? I’ve been sitting on a print but all the 6-8 month grow logs I read put me off it for now.

Sounds about right. I know azures can survive good frosts but the others it’s probably doubtful. Allenii is found in Northern California where it doesn’t ever freeze I believe.

Ive got a weird question for you guys that grow woodlovers.

Has anybody ever run them on grains and then to coir or manure without wood? I’m wondering what the mycelium and colonization would look like.

I’m not sure that would go great. They might start to grow but then just stall out and quit looking for nutes when they realize they are t getting what they want

The reason I’m wondering is because of the stuff people dug up in the natalensis thread saying it’s very closely related to aztecorum. If somebody’s ever accidentally run woodlovers on a cube sub and gotten crazy overlay myc like most of the natal grows that would be good to know.

I just made up some humus compost/hpoo/straw pellets/coir/verm sub for papuana and zapo spawn. Not sure what’s best anyone with experience with zap or papuana?
