Yeah, you're right I should just be patient.. Those KSSS APEs I posted above got me all hyped though. Hopefully they make their way here.

KSAT was released, it was a very limited run though.

Couple tubs of yeti, first flush. This clone I'm running always performs pitifully on the first flush, it's the second that dishes out the pain. Will update.
But tbh I don't consider this a bad yield because 2 grams of those can equal 5 grams of average shrooms. I compare them to APE, this clone in particular being more potent than any APE I ran in the past.

I just inoculated a BRF jar with some TAT LC on the 23rd. It's starting to show! This was a surprise freebie, so I'm very excited to see how it turns out!

Have you tried running casing or a fat top layer? Just curious, hear this a lot about Yeti. I even wonder how it'd perform with an unusually dehydrated sub. Weird how strains have these odd preferences you have to dial in

They hate thick top layers or peat-based casings. And it seems to be a recurrent thing with some tat genetics. My Gandalf absolutely hates top layers too.
Instead of just trying to find an explanation as to why this happens based on mere speculations I just accept my yeti likes to underperform first flush.
For yeti I apply a thinner than usual top layer at spawn and a very thin one for Gandalf. It may be just the genetics I'm running instead of a common trait of these vars, although I've also heard reports from people saying similar to things.

The pic is the first gandalf I grew from spores. It took more than a month to start pinning and the few fruits it grew were mostly from the sides, top layer of coir (regular thickness) untouched, rest of the substrate thoroughly colonized.

Few fruits but they grew massive (+300 gram fruits).

I think part of the reason it took so long was because it didn't form a proper pinning platform on the surface even when the substrate was thoroughly consolidated and full of knots all over.
I have three different Gandalf clones, all dislike top layers. I add a very thin one just because my OCD won't allow me to leave exposed grains, I just don't like to do that but I probably should with these.

I might have to try that, ive had 3 tubs just not perform of gandalf... spawn wasnt the greates tho, but probably not something easy yo get away with with these slower groing strains.

Oh yeah, the slightest iffyness in the spawn and they mold out on me. All the cultures I've had are a weird kind of tomentose, they don't colonize the grains as thoroughly as I like or consider safe, if you know what I mean... With these I like to let the spawn consolidate for a few days after 100% so that it grows thicker.

I still got spores and culture just no time. Someday. Just took a few prints of a gandalfxpf. Got some tall boys with nipple caps and white edges thay seem promising. We will see. These are those, all the crosses ive made perform very different, i just expected more results from an f1, but its one of my first crosses and i was sure at first, good thinf i made several tubs.
