Thank you Sporulator for sharing your wisdom. Do you think a 50-50 coir verm without the soil would work, or even just 100% coir?  Appreciate your wise opinions while we learn about this new shroom.

Could other potting soils also work?

BTW, @ MacMerdin, Azura & Sporulator - Thank you guys for being a part of this thread.  Being panaeolus experts, or at least having been around the block a few times with them, your opinions weigh heavily in my mind with how to proceed with this project. Your presence is much appreciated.  Hopefully we can all learn a lot from watching you guys in action with this experiment.

Wow! Nice haul!!!

Hey Hobbit, (and anyone else with experience) could you please share a bit about the effects of cinctulus?  How do they compare, experiencialy, to say cubensis?  What is similar, different, better, etc?  I, and surely many others reading this thread, have never tried cinctulus before, and curious to understand what they are like, injested.

Figure that the Blue Pearls likely will have similar effects (if not different potency).  Soon we shall all know ourselves, but for the next couple months we can live vicariously through responses from you & anyone else who volunteers subjective opinions.

I have found alot where this new sod is.




That's two different hauls
Plus today's



So I only ate 3g dry and felt very good. I don't eat shrooms alot or haven't. I've always ate L. So I don't have alot to compare. I'll focus on it next time.

This plate had been in the fridge since January.
Hard to get clear pics through the mini round but i think it's clean.

Noticed a dark spot when I put a light under it.

I transfered a few pieces to new plates yesterday.
Plan to prep some grain later.

So today I found... drum roll please... Foes!

B'dum bum...

Happened to find them on a lawn and they kinda looked like foes to me, but then again, there was a chance they could be cincts, so I picked them.  I wasn't prepared for a find (I wasn't engaged in a hunt) but fortunately I had a sandwich baggie.  Put the caps on foil, and sure enough the prints were brown :frown:  Well, still searching for my local var.  Thank goodness for Subfinder, as now my hopes for this experiment are gonna be done with "Warrens".
