Looks like ya got something funky growing there.  Ya might wanna toss out that dish!  Hahaha!  So are those the first blue pearls shot of this thread?  What a great pic.  I wonder if scraping up some of the baby blues and using that for innoc would select for blue stone production.  Congratulations Sporulator for being in the lead!  Very curious to watch your grow.  Thank you for sharing.

      10 gr. Brewer's yeast (dried, pulverized)
      1 L water

first mention i've read of adjusting agar media pH. and quite acidic at that. is this your default recipe? and do you use cream of tartar, or legit tartaric acid?

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!  Now that's a really sexy idea!  I would loooove to see you do that!  Just a week ago I semi-jokingly semi-seriously posted on a Mexicana A thread that that'd be a cool thing to do.  Pleeeease share your adventure doing that, successes & failures, and perhaps I'd make a sideline experimental jar along with you.  Has anyone ever succeeded growing stones (of any kind) in LC?

Sporulator awesome info. Thanks for popping by and dropping some knowledge. Haven't heard of adjusting agar pH but that makes a lot of sense. My hericiums were always very sluggish on agar and even lc's. Wonder what kind of impact that'll make on those and my other pans.

Do cincts need a casing layer?

If so, what do you use?

I'm not to this point yet.  Still on agar but in about 3 weeks I'm gonna start.
