People generally use swabs on mushrooms that don't drop many spores and are hard to print. An example being PE. You can use a spore print multiple times easier than you can reuse a swab. So if you can print it's better to do so, if there's no choice then swab.

I've heard of people multiplying prints by using swabs. 

That's how GrimSweeper got out 16 swabs instead of 2 prints of the wild tamps.  I received 2 swabs (they come in packets of 2) which I put to agar.

I know about the PE swabs etc.  But this was just a suggestion on multiplying prints.  If needed.

Sweet then we know it can be done. Lol The tamps I received were swabs too. Probably because of tiny caps in that situation. Swabs are pretty nifty I do have to say. It's like receiving a loaded inoculation loop

Yeah for sure I knew what you were talking about. Think it's a great idea idea. Although my giveaway is going kinda slow so maybe the interest has capped out and it's not needed :shrug:

Thank you subfinder for that valuable tidbit.

Hmmm... You guys raise a good point. Demand has slowed down.  I guess we got all the site regulars covered and you're right that more people will be finding & printing, and soon we will have F1 prints of Warren's.  Maybe swabs and sheets is not really necessary after all.

Do you think Cinctulus will produce stones on plates if you keep them for long enough? Just like Ps. Mexicana does. If so one could clone them.

Oh wow great. What recipe did you use for this picture?

I usually use grain water. Sometimes with coffee added.
