Thank you for sharing!  Can't wait to see some blue balls appear on your plates.

When you see the baby blues appear, would you transfer those for your culture?  Seems as though that is how to select for the stone forming myc from agar.

What has been up with the mail lately? Its  been dragging the past couple weeks. So far only one  of the 10 I sent out has been confirmed as received. Thought most of them would've made it by now

i just got my Warren strain cincs on agar i only made 6 plates. will make many transfers after i get some germination. The ultimate goal is to eventually get a stone and make an isolate from that. I am not even that interested in fruiting the mushrooms. Other than to make prints to send out. I got 3 tiny prints less then dime sized one one piece of foil. I only used one.
Who else got their warren strain?
who else started it? if not what are you waiting for
who didnt leave a rating for their sender
KapnDank i have found writing a notw that says " leave a rating" with your user name gets the job done best, we have lots of spunions on here that need some reminding.

Viridis420 got his. He was pouring some plates last night. I'm about to shoot the peeps on my list a :pm: and see who all has gotten theirs then I'm about to take some pics of what I've got going so far. So far they start off very thin like pan cyans.

Hey BW86!  Glad you got yours and got it started!  I'll be eager watching for your updates.

This thread is kinda slow right now, understandably.  I'm sure that once everyone gets their prints that things will resume back to life.  Tweeq & I are still waiting for the prints from Subfinder, but soon as they arrive then they'll go right back out!

Yes, please do leave a 5 star trade rating along with gratitudes for Subfinder and the person who re-sent the prints.  Personally I am looking forward to sending them out, to get this thread back alive, and to get a few positive trade ratings (I want to participate in the trading threads).

Yeah KapnDank, the snail mail is really really slow!  Can't we just email the spore prints to each other?  Haha, I wish.

Hey guys I'm excited to actually be a part of this thread now.. I recieved my prints yesterday and I just now put them to agar. I cant waitt see some growth

1000ml distilled water  (1000g)
5g dextrose (sugar)
10g malt extract
5 g peptone
2g yeast
20 g agar
5g potato starch

This is my agar recipie. It is verry potent so I should get some solid growth with this

I stole it from jackeoncid419 and modified it slightly.

So here's the 3 MS plates as well as a t1 plate. Looks like I carried over some bacteria on the t1. Giving it some time to hopefully outrun it. Also about to take a couple more transfers from one of the MS plates. Temps have been 75°F-80°F except the other night they fell around 71-72.

On that note does anyone have any up to date tips on building an incubation chamber for plates? I never worried about it with cubes but some species I'm cultivating now could benefit from  warmer/more consistent temps than the ambient room temp they're in.

No need to incubate cincts, they do just fine at whatever temp. They are a temperate species, so fluctuations in temp doesn't seem to matter much either.

Try taking very tiny transfers from the leading edge of the fastest growth...that should help you get away from the contaminants.

Wild prints can be a challenge!

So I got my pan cinct. print today... pretty excited.
Gonna put them on agar once i get supplies for proper growth, i only have LMEA. Need peptone and yeast.

Planning on doing ;
Pan. Cinct.
Pan. Cyan.
Pan. Cambo.

Now i need an ATL#7, to complete my sub-grows, separate from my main-grows (my cubes I have in tubs). Any volunteers I'd be happy to accept. Lol, jk, but seriously...
Also, going to get supplies for a "Jartha" I think it is... I'll post pics when i get everything together.

No ATL#7 prints, but I do have a fuck-ton of cinct prints. If anyone wants some PM me. Be prepared to send any extras to other people.

EDIT: this is a good chance for new members to get their trade ratings up and start scoring harder to get prints. So that being said, you know what to do.

Mr. Funguy....

I have wild tamps going right now.  Once I fruit you are welcome to a print.  Will be  a few weeks though.  Atl#7 has been DNA sequenced to be tampanensis actually so it would be the same species.

That's good to know. I'm also working with a few pan cyans as well and have my eye on a few other species that could possibly benefit from one.
This isn't my first rodeo with a wild print but it is without antibiotic agar lol. Just ditched it to see if I could get better growth with a few other species. So far it seems to have helped. Might keep a sleeve of antibiotic plates around specifically for spore germination in the future.:strokebeard:

That's what's up I have some ovoids on agar right now. Trying a handful of outdoor grows with pretty much every species I have. Also thinking about trying to pick up where This guy left off. I think woodlovers on logs is a cool idea. Sorry got off topic lol
