Jake, I can't get caerulescens to germ. Two failed attempts now from two different sources.

There's nothing special about them, right? Just bad luck I am thinking.

Well I put everything on my Gordon Ramsey dishes & I’ve gotten germ from everything I’ve put on it so far  has done really well.

I know it doesn't really count as rare but I think theyre exotic and I'm proud so here's a lil mexicana jalisco pin! Had one tray pin before but they all aborted but this pin is much bigger and fatter then the last ones so whatever was wrong hopefully it's fixed now!

Lol in nature they are super rare! I said in the opening comment of this thread I didn’t mind some mexicana posts. Good work next I can I can be a pain in the ass you can do everything right but if you have the wrong genetics you’re not going to get any fruits and because they produce stones I feel like Non-mushroom producing genetics are more common place because of the stones I too have a mexicana tray with just a lone Shroom

Hell yeah, I got a good pinset on my first try (brf to coir in SGFC) but I think I just let it dry out to much because the pins shriveled and aborted but those pins were alot skinnier and smaller then this one

My main worry now is that what if I mislabelled a jar and its actually a cube, hahaha I did that a few weeks ago with Reishi on accident

Does anybody have any information on psilocybe papuana? Anything whatsoever would be appreciated as there's virtually nothing out there at a glance. All I can find is inski's growlog.

I'm not even sure what substrate to use, surely it doesn't grow solely from clay in nature.

I have it. Going to grain tomorrow. Yeah there is no info on it. Like several of these rare joints I’m coppin off Alan all I have to go on is his description of the environment they were found in. That and looking at other species that are similar. I haven’t discussed this species with Alan at length yet (there are so many I wait until it’s on deck for bulking usually lol) but I’d imagine I’m going to have the best results on the sugar cane mix. Not exactly sure why just a hunch. Once I speak with Alan on them I’ll update y’all

Thanks man, it’s more about writing teks for different species. I feel like a lot of people completely Right off mushrooms because they do not like cubes. My wife was one of these people she was on like five different psychotic and anxiety meds once I got pans I was finally able to convince her to microdose them she enjoyed it and is now off all other medication and has so much more energy! Before she was like a zombie! Lol I think there are millions of ppl who’s lives could be vastly improved! But yeah mycology is damn near all I’m interested in lol. I have no friends I do little else & im by far the happiest I’ve ever been lol I’ve in a few days is my one year anniversary of making a screen name here. Idk if there is a time limit or something But most people I’ve seen with the tag have been here for a few years at least. I’m glad they don’t just hand em out nilly willy lol
