Yes Im kinda hoping Jake will crack that nut and be the first to grow lib caps indoirs with any kind of real success. Ee have them here naturally in some aereas apparently (never found one tho) so I could try an outside box for those in spting, if I find me some spores

No, I had some bacterial problems early on (haven’t been able to source gentamicin in months! Really pissin me off)  but I now have some successfully taking to grain. The psilocybe gallaeciae did better out the gate and they are farther along.  Gonna be a long involved project for sure. I got sum subG, zap & papuana in there now but no pins yet however they are all slow movers and I’m still hopeful (except for the subG if that works I’m gonna be really surprised! But it still looks just as it should). The libs allow for 0 mistakes. You gotta keep them in optimal conditions the entire time. One screw up and you back to agar. The moisture content of everything with them is extremely precise. To dry they stall just a lil to wet and they go bacterial. Nothing about those lil fucks is easy lol I appreciate the vote of confidence tho! I’ll try to not disappoint!

Hoog caps are acutely umbonate (pronounced spine on cap) where as semp convexa caps are “convex”

Hey Cory what was your bulk for your subtropicalis? They tray now with just a few very slow moving pins is straw coir verm but not very impressed with it. I got a few more trays about ready that are straw, straw, pellets, coir, and verm. I assume they are primarily looking from nutes from grass. Also what FC do they prefer? I was gonna run a few tray in a Mono because idk if the Jartha is too much for them.
Also those pins I have are moving sooooo slow I thT they stalled but they are slowly growing. I don’t remember them being that slow

I’ve gotten a few invitro before but def wouldn’t call it cracking it entire spawn bag and about 4.5 months for 5gs was about the brat I ever did with lib caps

Just tried the Pan Cyan recreationnaly for the first time this we (0.5g and 1g the day after).
They really are different from Cubensis and Mexicana : So much energy and can get weird pretty fast as Asura mentioned !
I literally couldn't keep myself intellectually and physically in place.

But the Psilocybe Hoogshagenii var Convexa (Semperviva/Subtropicales) really are my favorite too so far :smile:

A species employed by several indigenous groups in Mexico. Has a reputation for being a "wise mushroom". I was in contact with someone recently who employs mushrooms in shamanic ceremonies he holds, he has grown 30 different mushroom species and considers these the best of the best. Very potent, very magical and also not hard to grow, they just take a while.

Semperviva is in my opinion <the> Psilocybe mushroom. So powerful, beautiful and reliable. And not really too difficult and fast growing, too.

This species really could change the world if used wisely.

They are very special because they are easy to grow, have a gorgeous look, fruit very reliable, are strong against any contamination, very fast growing, could be different in their look just out of a multispore  culture, stay extreme potent even in the third flush  which we used. They must, from my experience with the very potent Semilanceatas, which are easily to dose(1-1,5%), have around 10-15mg/dried gr. alkaloids, mainly Psilocybin  (it took a while to come up with the peak, around 1-1,5h).
The visions are very sharp and clear, I was very enlightened by a pure feeling of love and energy. While my consciousness was fully intact my perception of the outer world was nearly gone and I could hardly see anything clear around me. And moving around was close to impossible. It really felt a lot like a MAOI  enhanced Psilocybin  experience, very intense, though 4,5grs. isn't that much.
We both laughed a lot and the overall mood was very positively enhanced.
The only thing I missed are the more golden and vivid visions which are so typical for Semilanceatas and which I guess come from the Baeocystin.

Compared to the Zapotecorum which I tested last month, Sempervivas seem to be around a 20-25% stronger but take a little while longer to fully set in. There is Psilocin  present which lets the first changes come up after 10-15mins. After 40-50min. I thought the fruits might be not that strong since they were from flush  3, but after another half an hour they fully set in and blew me into space.

There were no deep visions from my inside, it was more like a travel to another dimension.

And I just find them beautiful :smile:

  • Panaeolus Bisporus
  • Panaeolus Cambodginiensis
  • Panaeolus Tropicalis
  • Psilocybe Mexicana var chicon nindo (the Jalisco are really introspective for me)
  • Psilocybe zapotecorum
  • Psilocybe Aztecorum
  • Psilocybe Caerulescens var Mazatecorum
  • Woodlovers (Azurescens, Cyanescens, Ovoideocystidiata, Subaerugina, Allenii/Cyanofriscana, etc.)

The number one rule if you're a mushroom grower?
Get high on your own supply.

Between the last couple of large grows and everything else going on. It had been a few months since I had been able to kick back and go for a massive heavy dose full on trip. From here on out I'm making time. Every Saturday I'm going to take a massive heroic dose of some of my stash. Starting this last Saturday.

I ended up settling in on a 5.55 gram dose of Psilocybe Tampsensis Pollock on Saturday. I just ate them up whole. Usually with cubes I powder them and put them in hot lemon water. It definitely took a lot longer to kick in this way. Two hours or something before it was really going strong. Often it's pretty heavy within 20 minutes when using powder soaked in lemon water.

One of the strangest trips I've ever had, lol. It was all over the place. In some other dimension made of light and then suddenly the whole thing would completely change up before I had taken in fully where I was.

Had a few really odd scenes. That even at the time I was like wtf? Not sure if that was just me. Or if the Tamps had some effect on that. I've never had any trips quite like that from cubes. And I've had many massive cube trips. It didn't have any dark or scary parts at all. Not even slightly. It was a very light trip. But a bit confusing and all over the place. It would jump so quickly from one place to the next.

Pulled in a bunch of my former co-workers in to the trip for some reason. Haven't really thought about any of them in months.

At one point I had my hands on the workings of the universe. And I was separate from it. But I could see how the entire universe would change in different ways when I changed different things. Spreading joy wherever I went. And all the other beings behaving a little strange whenever I was around. A bunch of the other scenes didn't have any other beings in them at all. But were like this setting made of bright luminous light. All the walls and everything in such bright vivid colors and complicated patterns. But just seemed to be empty.

At another point I was speaking with a girl I used to work with. And suddenly the entire scene turned in to this 2 dimensional plane. Turned into like a cross between her and a cartoon cat in like sexy clothing and acting amorous. In like bright electric vivid pink. The entire 2D scene was bright electric vivid pink. The only thing left moving in the scene was the cat's tail swinging back and forth like a pendulum. But 2 dimensional. It hung up for a minute, then winked at me and then just floated away. Off in to this empty abyss of space. I was just like 'fuck off. What the fuck? Really? That's not real. That can't be real. Oh yeah, mushrooms. What the fuck Tamps? What was that?' I think that 2D scene is going to be burned in to my brain.

At another point I was traveling in to everybody else's trips. And helped guide them through their trips. Seemed pretty legit at the time, hahaha.

At another point I was sending out healing to various people. And then I was sending myself and my energy in to all of the bags of mushrooms I have around the house. In to future trips and watching over them. Warding off any darkness.

At another point I was traveling through time. And I was effecting the people I knew. Pretty much always with unintended consequences. They would always end up aggravated and in some completely fucked emotional state. I was vibrating at strange intensity and me just thinking of them as I was like that. Threw them in to some state where they would live through a whole ton of different realities all at the same time. So they would come back to me and they had just lived all of these different futures. Like in one she'd be this tweaked out crack head and in another she'd be this enlightened being. And all of these were running simultaneously. They'd be back to their regular 'real' reality. But just having lived all of these experiences had fucked with them. And they were pissed at me. The one girl told me that she had 'withdrawn her consent from me thinking about her'. lol. I was like fuck, I don't know if I can do that.

One of the better things about it was there was almost no body load at all. An equivalent dose of cubes would usually have my whole body pulsing and vibrating. Like I'm being ripped in to another dimension the hard way. My third eye was still pulsing the next day though. Didn't feel mushroom hangover at all the next day though. Just had me wishing I could dose again right away and try to get right back to where I was.

Despite being such a heavy dose. I still got pulled out of it a few times. Suddenly back to reality. Get up take a leak. Come back. Work my way back. It would rebuild quickly.

I'm going to step it up for this next Saturday and try the same dose with the addition of MAOI. 220mg of pure harmine/harmaline HCL extracted from Syrian Rue seeds (Peganum Harmala) for some super dose shroomahuasca action. Yeah, that's ridiculous. I know. Pretty much like taking an ounce of cubes. Don't try this at home folks.


I've gotta say I do love the Tamps. First go was not even the slightest bit like I might've expected though. I don't know what makes me think I can know what to expect from any massive dose of any mushrooms though, lol. Looking forward to the next go this next Saturday. Really gives me something to look forward to during the week. The weekend can't come soon enough now.

Do you have a tolerance? I read that they  were significantly more potent than cubes.

No, I don't. I use to micro dose. But I've quit that to insure that I have zero tolerance. Let my system come back to equilibrium and reassert itself. And then just blast it with a mega dose. :grin: It had been a couple months since I had taken any mushrooms. So I definitely had no tolerance. They effect me heavily. But that's what I'm looking for.

Yeah, they are. Probably in the range of twice as potent as cubes.

Have you tried Mexicana Jalisco or Chicon Nindo?

Very intriguing. 6g dry of cubes and I don’t think I’d be able to talk. You both make 5-6g dry tamps sound not too strong.

Everyone is different. Some people have naturally higher tolerance. Some people simply like to go deeper than others. Personally 2 grams of strong cock is enough for me most of the time.
