Yesterday on my way to work I saw an old beat up ford ranger with a giant blue lives matter flag flying off a flagpole in the middle of the bed. 3 years ago that would have been a confederate flag, but there’s been some social push against that so now all the racists move to obscure their ideology behind one more layer of dog whistle. Should a Democrat beat Trump, and the social order swings back to the left, you’ll see a new manifestation of that racism. Should Trump beat all odds (again) and get re elected, you’ll see a much more blatant and emboldened manifestation.

When a white assaults or kills a black, the headline usually describes the racial traits of both individuals involved, when the roles are reversed the racial traits are never mentioned. Is that enough clarity for you?
