swami, an idea for a challenge?

i'm not really good at remote viewing or telepathy, and you don't want to come visit NY so i can show you telekinesis (but you'll see it if you're at the gathering in NE this summer)

so how about just a little experiment, not meant to prove things one way or another.

want to make a post of your mental state, physical health, aches and pains over the course of lets say 2 weeks for control, then i'll spend two weeks trying to remote influence your health and mind. you can keep a log of how you feel mentally and physically, and i'll make a log of what i attempt to do to you. we can both give these logs to a third party who will post them independantly.

i mean it may be kind of annoying jotting down the time if you feel any pain/stress, but keep in mind i'm willing to spend time working on this too.

what do you think?

(by the way, if you're some sort of government psion trying to manipulate poeple into not believe in psi, and you've got some sort of crazy defense that'll kill me or damage my nervous system, please figure out some way to decline, because i really have no desire to get hurt).

YOu might find it more difficult then anticipated to influence a persons evergy from far away... Can you do the same for yourself? only then shoulf you expand outward... Anyways, I doubt he will take it up because he knows you might be right.

I'll nominate myself as an escrow for the logs; on either side.

There should be one more escrow, as I think it would be more appropriate to have two unbiased third-party members; one for you and one for Swami.

Actually, this won't accomplish anything. The results are so subjective that no effect can be measured. Try physically influencing an object from a remote distance. Better yet, attempt to alter the results of a random number generator from the mean. No one will ever take you seriously until you can accomplish these simple tasks.

Oh I've no doubt that there are plenty of holes and potential "problematics" that can easily arise; but nevertheless I think it would still be somewhat entertaining and interesting to see the results of the outcome..and so on. :grin:

the point of the test is that for some poeple, psionics is so real that they actually have to restrain thier subconscious from killing poeple. thats why i take it so seriously and why i try and let you guys in the know. its not just some sort of wierd game, those with these kind of powers are really getting way beyond the rest of humanity, and i have a feeling someday there is going to be a big catch up.

i'm not good at micropk bert, mainly because its so fucking boring to practice.

its not a test, its an experiment. i think perhaps some poeple would take me more seriously if they got hurt or a little messed up do to psionics.

anyone want to take swami's place?

I'll take Swami's place. You have to cause a certain physical ailment of my choosing. It must take place within the next 5 days. It will not be extreme, but it will be enough to notice. I will take a picture of the portion of my body I want affected and post it to S&P at which point Swami and Skorp can be the judge of whether or not you accomplished your goal. Up for it?

Yeah, psionics, black magic, whatever...

Were the Yaqui brujos able to stop the land-grabbing and devastation of their tribes? No.

How about the Amazonian shamans and Ayuascueros protecting themselves from the rubber harvesters? No.

Witches stopped themselves from being burnt? No.

These millenia old traditions were powerless, but some kid reading a website can kill a man with a thought?  :yawn:

bert, there is no judges, and this is my experiment based on what i believe may or may not be within my spectrum of ability. this isn't for anyone to judge, if i'm sucessful, you'll feel like shit, and maybe that'll change YOUR mind. but who knows, maybe not, i really just need a good reason to practice.

swami, not a kid who reads a website, a professional who spent anywhere from a decade to 40 years of thier life experimenting and intergrating. however, little kids who read a website are able to pick up some minor PK pretty fast. moving small things with PK is kindergarden level psionics.

edit: btw, psionics is a rather recent invention. its not magic, its not chi. it was born from highly controlled government military experiments with poeple who were "naturals" as they're sometimes called. project stargate (which is real and documented for those who don't know).

It's not an experiment if there is noone to judge the results or lack thereof. If you don't have a clearly defined hypothesis or specific goal, then there's no point.

there is a goal, but since when do you experiments have judges? if you're talking about analyzing the data afterwards, anyone can do that for themselves, thats the point of posting the two logs.

Right, you need someone to analyze data. But what I'm saying is, both your hypothesis and your data collecting method are flawed. So much so that there is no point in doing what you are doing. If you want to accomplish anything, you need a more narrow set of parameters within which you can measure your effectiveness. i.e. specific physical ailments that you announce ahead of time...not just 'general malaise, pukiness, depression'.

bert, no, again, i don't need anyone to analyze the data, i think it would be best to just post the data and allow poeple to analyze it for themselves and come to thier own conclusion.

please tell me where my hypothesis and data collecting methods are flawed.

i don't want to accomplish anything other than making you sick, and i need you to collect data on your mental and physical state to evaluate whether i did that.

since you don't know anything about psionics, i don't understand why you would try and suggest parameters.

I could get sick on my own. There would be no way of knowing whether you caused it or if it was a natural occurrence, totally separate from you. I don't need to know anything at all about psionics in order to establish a specific ailment (such as a rash, or a wart) that would prove you have an extraordinary ability. I'm just as curious as you are to see whether it can be done. I'm trying to help you out by showing you that people will not accept extremely generalized data as proof of anything. It's all about defying probability. That is the best I can explain what I'm saying.

I think you should create a scar in a familiar shape on the part of his body; something simple like a happy face, a ying yang or "truekimbo2 was here."

If you suceed, perhaps you can start a psi-tattoo service. People can e-mail you with a picture they want and the picture of the body part they want it on... after completion they send you 50 dollars.
